Adrian Gordon's face was calm, not even glancing at her, as if it was none of his business, indifferent.

"Adrian Gordon! Are you deaf?" Sophie Miller began to rage, grabbing whatever was on the bedside table and throwing it at Adrian.

"Sophie, Sophie... don't be like this—" Shirley Turner was frightened to see her daughter shaking off the drip needle on the back of her hand, and hurriedly tried to soothe her.

Adrian dodged twice and finally responded.

He remained expressionless, saying coolly, "If you want it that much, go snatch it yourself. I have things to do, I'm leaving first."

One has to admit, Adrian truly had the courage to do great things—once he made up his mind, he acted decisively and cleanly, without any hesitation.

Just like a month ago when he decided to abandon me to marry Sophie, he withstood all pressure and was heartless and callous to me.

Now, recognizing Sophie's true nature, he decided to leave her without looking back, not caring about life or death.
