Chapter 11: Ability Display
On the docks behind Kaya's family mansion:
A butler with sheep-like features, Merry, stood respectfully beside Luffy as he proudly introduced his work.
"Going Merry…"
It was Kaya's gift to the Straw Hat crew, a symbol of her heartfelt gratitude.
The ship looked exactly like the one in Luffy's memories: a medium-sized caravel with a sheep-themed figurehead, woody brown tones, and white wooden details that curled like sheep's wool.
'Finally, I can experiment with my Freedom ability…'
Luffy had been holding onto an idea for a while, but he waited until they got the Merry first. Now that they had the ship, it was time to make his idea real.
Luffy walked toward the ship, cutting off Merry's enthusiastic explanation mid-sentence.
The five girls standing a bit behind him were also attracted by Luffy's sudden action. But instead of boarding the ship, Luffy placed his hand on it, closing his eyes. His expression turned focused and serious.
Nami gasped."Masaka?!"
Kuina and Zala also reacted, their eyes widening.
They remembered Luffy's ability—imagination turned into reality. He could create tsunamis and even gold. So, what would he do to the ship?
Their breathing quickened in anticipation.
Yasha and Kaya stood confused.
"What's happening?" Yasha whispered.
Nami noticed their confusion but hesitated only for a moment. Since Luffy wasn't hiding his ability, he must have decided to trust them. Maybe he even saw them as potential crew.
She smiled lightly, her eyes still glued to Luffy.
"Pay attention. Something amazing is about to happen…"
Kaya and Yasha blinked, but seeing the other girls so excited, they also joined in the staring contest.
Suddenly, Luffy opened his eyes with a wide grin and mumbled to himself.
"Sure enough… With these concepts at play, what limits you is either your life level or your cognition. Sadly, I'm disadvantaged in both."
After all, what could a sickly boy who spent most of his life in a hospital and learned all his common sense from anime and manga really imagine?
"But still—it's enough. My ideal ship can finally be constructed."
He glanced at the girls, their eyes filled with anticipation.
"Get ready to be blown away."
Even Merry, the butler, started to feel something incredible was about to happen.
Luffy's operation was simple. He gave the ship's materials the freedom of properties—meaning the ship's structure could now do anything. Almost omnipotent.
It could deform, reconstruct from the atomic level, expand, heal, become indestructible, absorb energy—even achieve nuclear fusion, which was the power source Luffy chose.
His limited knowledge only allowed him to imagine that much, but nuclear fusion was "cool" enough for his standards.
The masts now resembled wings, but they were purely decorative.
The ship was roughly the same size as the Thousand Sunny, but with a black base, golden and red-orange lines, and a baphomet-themed figurehead with a sun circling it. A nod to the strange connection between the sun god and the devil in myths worldwide.
Even the weapons were laser-powered by nuclear fusion—imagine the destructive level.
He installed an advanced AI navigation system, added space expansion and time-freezing properties, and in the back of the ship, created a space large enough to house a five-star hotel, fully equipped with every possible facility.
With all his ideas set, the design finalized in his mind.
With a poof, the original Merry in front of him disintegrated into atomic dust.
The butler Merry screamed in terror.
"MERRY!!!"
The girls were stunned. The ship had vanished. Not even wreckage remained.
But then, their eyes almost popped out of their sockets.
Tiny dots of light began to appear, rearranging, transforming, reorganizing.
Luffy watched in amazement. All he did was give the materials freedom, then imagined the form he wanted.
He even discovered something intriguing—something to experiment with later.
Before them, the new ship took shape: black base, golden and red-orange patterns, cool wing-like masts, a Straw Hat logo, and laser cannon ports hidden in side compartments.
The ship grew larger and wider, its aura more imposing.
The crowd held their breath. When the transformation ended, the ship floated majestically on the sea, dazzling everyone.
Zala's eyes lit up.
"What a domineering ship!"
Nami and Kuina were still in shock. Yasha, Kaya, and Merry were practically blinded by awe.
They didn't even know about Devil Fruits, so this supernatural display reshaped their entire view of the world.
Luffy giggled happily.
"That's nothing. The inside is even more amazing…"
The crowd was stunned.
More amazing? How?!
When they boarded the ship and entered the rear section, they were greeted by a vast, impossible space.
Inside was something like a world-class mall, with countless buildings and designs.
A tiny flying elf fluttered around, happily introducing the facilities:
Bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, labs, studios, swimming pools, restaurants, amusement parks, clothing stores, food storage, weapons areas—
It was like a self-sufficient secret base from a pre-apocalypse blockbuster.
Luffy had poured all his teenage fantasies into this space. Being sick his whole life, he never got to enjoy such things. Now, he could.
Thanks to his mastery of space, they could teleport anywhere instantly by asking the little elf.
The group quickly dispersed, exploring in shock and awe.
The more they explored, the more their admiration for Luffy grew.
They finally understood why he kept his abilities a secret. This wasn't just a Devil Fruit—it was practically god-level power.
Even with teleportation, it took them a whole day to explore the ship.
They tried the food, and while it was delicious, Luffy didn't really like it.
After all, he knew it was reprocessed from the atomic level.Even if it tasted better than normal food, he still felt paranoid.
The girls had a blast shopping. Zala found new weapons she loved. Nami took full control of the infinite gold creation treasure room.
Kuina picked out cute clothes for herself—and some for Luffy. After all, his current outfit didn't match his status.
Yasha and Kaya had more fun than they'd ever had in their lives. Kaya didn't even feel tired, which she completely ignored. That's because this space was Luffy's ideal world—sickness, injury, and death were forbidden here.
The only one not having fun was the butler Merry.
This ship had been his life's masterpiece, and Luffy had casually turned it to dust—then replaced it with something godlike.
Of course, he wasn't enjoying the ride.
After they finally left the ship's space, everyone wore expressions of reluctance.
Luffy smiled.
"What are you so reluctant about? This is our home now."
Nami, Kuina, and Zala exchanged knowing smiles.
Kaya and Yasha looked envious and reluctant to leave. They even thought about begging Luffy to let them join the crew—just to get access to this space.
Luffy looked at the five girls and Merry, as if deciding something.
It was time to verify a theory.
He casually chased Merry away, leaving the five girls confused.
Sitting on a chair that appeared out of thin air, Luffy looked at them with anticipation.
"You know, my ability doesn't just work on ships. It can affect humans and animals too."
Nami was the first to react. Her eyes sparkled.
"Esteemed Captain… Are you saying you can turn me into Super Nami just by imagining it?!"
Kuina and Zala gasped, their bodies trembling. They never thought about it that way before. If Luffy's ability worked on humans, then what Nami said wasn't impossible.
The thought sent shivers down their spines.
Kaya and Yasha stood stunned. They didn't fully understand Luffy's powers, but they were also filled with anticipation.
Their minds spun with possibilities.
Kaya's face turned red as her mind drifted into questionable fantasies, while Yasha was excited.Maybe she really would join the Straw Hat crew today!
Luffy didn't answer directly.
He just asked:
"Who's first?"
Zala stepped forward immediately.
"Me! I want to become stronger!"
The other girls frowned, especially Nami. After all, she was the first crewmate—Zala was provoking her!
Luffy chuckled.
"Technically, I won't make you strong. If I just gave you power, you wouldn't be able to control it. You could destroy everything. Plus, wouldn't that make all your years of training meaningless?"
Zala flushed, realizing she'd been a bit reckless.
Luffy could give her strength, but even Superman needed a biological field to support his powers. He wasn't about to do something unwise.
"Come here."
Zala approached and knelt beside Luffy, making it easier for him to reach her.
Luffy nodded.
"Not bad…"
"Let's begin, shall we?"
The Transformation:
First, he used [Shed]—shedding mediocrity, pushing Zala's talent to the highest level, almost on par with the Emperors of the Sea.
He also shed her physical limits, transforming her body into a super-sexy goddess form: huge curves, a slim waist, glossy white skin, long green silky hair, and an enchanting face.
From a flat-chested, wannabe tomboy tying down her chest, Zala became an explosive bishoujo MILF, surpassing even the Pirate Empress.
The girls watched, stunned.
But this was just the initial transformation.
Next came the real cheat: [Freedom], removing Zala's potential limits and bottlenecks. He also gave her a low-profile "Heaven Rewards Diligence" passive skill.
If she worked even a little, she could become a Joy Boy-level figure.
The new Zala was already a hundred times stronger than before.
Luffy also confirmed his suspicion.
Giving others freedom meant their freedom was in his hands.
The current Zala wasn't just loyal—she was love-brained, like an angel from the chinese supergod anime universe. Her loyalty was now over 10,000%.
It didn't brainwash her, but her love and gratitude overwhelmed her hesitation and previous complex inner thoughts.
Zala blushed, staring at Luffy with soft, grateful eyes.
Before, she would've been annoyed by her feelings and tried to suppress them. Now, she embraced them and got to enjoy the experience.
Nami screamed in shock.
The new Zala was barely covered, her explosive figure leaving little to the imagination.
"Who are you?!"
The current Zala was a goddess—not just beautiful but radiating strength and confidence.
The Ceremony Continued:
Nami got the same package—more gorgeous than her anime counterpart, explosively sexy, power boosted a hundredfold. Her hair even grew longer (because Luffy liked long hair).
Kuina followed, her loyalty maxed out. Now, even if Luffy attacked innocent people, she'd probably ask if his hand hurt.
Yasha turned into a Baccarat-like goddess.
Kaya became a cow goddess, rivaling Tsunade and Shizuka Marikawa.
Their eyes overflowed with love.
With Luffy's protagonist aura, this attraction was already there—it's just that [Freedom] shattered all barriers, allowing them to express it openly.
They didn't need to be invited onto the ship. They were already his now.
Kaya didn't even bother to inform Merry. Same for Yasha.
They clung to Luffy, refusing to miss a second of his company.
Luffy was seriously shocked.
Thankfully, this intense love would mellow out over time. They'd adapt… eventually.
