Chapter 5 - Chapter 5

Liam's POV

As soon as I heard the pack warrior, I immediately sprung up from my seat, ready to swing into Action.

"Gather the men, the rogues must be stopped at all cost no matter what happens, we're going to make sure they don't harm. I'll join you soon," I explained to the warrior.

"Yes sir, Liam..." the warrior answered, bowing his head before leaving the study.

I was able to set in motion, and was about to go join when I noticed Stacy still hear.

"You have to leave the pack unnoticed, or make sure to find a good hiding spot. Do you understand me?" I tried to explain to her, but she shook her head.

"There's no way you're leaving me here, I'm coming with you no matter what."

I immediately frowned. This was the reason I didn't want to be around her. She was so stubborn, and annoying.

"There's no time, I have to join them in the--"

"Then I'll go with you. Why are you always trying to be mean. I'm going to follow you, and there's nothing you can do about it.'

I stared at her with a frown, but I knew it was pointless to argue with her.

"Fine. You can come with me, but you have to make sure you act smart."

She didn't respond to my comment, and followed me from behind as I left the office. I walked as fast as I could, my mind racing with thoughts when I suddenly changed my tracks.

"Where are you going?" She asked when she noticed me stop in a room, but I grabbed both her shoulders, staring into her eyes.

With no other explanation, I quickly opened the door, and pushed her into the room, making sure to close it shut before she could understand what was happening.

"Let me out, let me out!" She tugged on the handle, twisting, and turning, but I was fast enough to have locked the door using the keys that were outside the door.

I didn't bother about her screaming. Besides, I had other things I needed to do. I dashed out of there, going outside the pack to see that the men were busy with rouges. Despite the fact that they came in a decent number, the pack warriors fought really hard to overpower them.

With my lightning speed, extended claw, and how smart I started bringing down rogues.

I paused right at their sides and the next thing that followed was the slash of blood and their loud screams.

The metallic smell of their blood filled the pack house, and the rest upon noticing our victory started to retreat, but I didn't let that happen.

I charged towards them together with my men, making sure to catch whoever was in charge.

"You are the leader of the rogues, correct?" I interrogated him, and tried to make sense of everything that has just happened.

My eyes remained planted on him, and I tried to make sense of what was happening, but it wasn't working out.

"Answer me!" I roared, but right then, I heard a female voice.

I turned over to the other side to see her, her eyes were dark, and her hands were fisted. She seemed so angry, and her chest seemed to be pacing.

"How dare you? How dare you try to lock me up huh? Do you think you are some kind of..." Her hair was scattered, and she was talking so much she was running out of breath.

"I hate you, and now I know why your brother is better than you. You're nothing but a fool, a foolish man who has nothing to show forth, and I'm going to make sure you pay for whatever you have done to--"

I had actually had enough of her blabbing.

"You, take her, and lock her up," I have the orders, causing the pack warrior who was closest to me to grab her hand.

She looked at him, eyeing him head to toe, but then she turned towards me. "You think I'm scared of you? You think?" She asked as she frowned her face, complimenting her anger.

"Well you aren't now, but you will once you get your punishment," I expressed, making her a bit worried. She was stunned, her eyes widened, and her face immediately turned pale.

"Let me go, let me go!" She kicked around, trying to free herself from his grip, but he held her pretty tightly. However, the warrior immediately let go of her, bowing to my brother who had just walked into the scene.

"Let her go!' he commanded, and at once she was freed. I frowned, but didn't say a thing. After all, there was still a lot to be known.

"And where were you?" I questioned, my eyes fixed on him. He had left the pack without any formal words, leaving me alone to handle the mess.

"Went to handle another threat," he explained, and I got pissed.

"Another threat, but that doesn't mean you should have left without at least telling me where you went. I tried reaching you via mind link, but you didn't respond. How do you expect me to continue like this, huh?'

"I said I went to handle another threat!" he explained, and started making way towards the leader of the rogue that was held down by the pack warriors.

The rogue leader gritted his teeth as soon as he saw Kai, struggling to get away from the warrior's grip, but it wasn't working out.

Kai stared at him for a while, his eyes resting on the man before he stretched out his hands to reveal his claw.

I wasn't so sure what he was about to do, but before I could ask, Kai had already slashed through the man's throat, causing him to be lifeless almost instantly. For the first few seconds, the guards let go of him, and he collapsed to the floor, his body still convulsing for a little while as blood trialed out of his neck, surrounding his now limp body on the floor.
