Chapter 269 - Sweet Moment

The afternoon stretched golden over the Val Enchanté. The sun hung lower now, its light spilling across the mountains in warm hues, softening the edges of the snowy peaks. The roar of the waterfall carried through the valley, but for the two girls lying entwined on the mattress, it was little more than a lullaby.

They had been holding each other for what felt like hours. Eira's arms were wrapped firmly around Fleur's waist, Fleur's own fingers tangled in the folds of Eira's robes, as though neither dared let go. Their bodies pressed together, chest to chest, legs brushing beneath the blanket Fleur had pulled from her pouch.

Every breath they drew mingled, every exhale warming the other's lips. Sometimes Fleur would tilt her head just slightly, and their mouths would meet again in a fleeting kiss—soft, quick, stolen. Other times Eira would lean forward with more intent, capturing Fleur's lips until their breaths came shallow, their hearts racing.

It felt like being glued together, neither able nor willing to pull apart.

Fleur's lashes fluttered as she gazed at Eira from inches away, her blue eyes shimmering with unspoken emotion. Her lips trembled, though they curved into a fragile smile.

"I've waited so long for this," she whispered, her voice breaking. "So long. And now… now it feels like I've reached my dream." A tiny tear slipped from the corner of her eye, and Eira reached up to brush it away with her thumb, tender and protective.

Fleur's voice quavered as she continued, "Everything looks so different now. The light, the air, even the sound of the water… it's all more beautiful. So that's what happiness looks like."

Eira's heart squeezed. She kissed her softly, their lips meeting in a lingering press that silenced Fleur's trembling words. When she pulled back, her forehead rested against Fleur's. "Then let's keep it like this," Eira murmured. "Let's stay in this happiness."

For a while, they simply gazed at each other, smiles breaking and fading as kisses bridged the silence between them. Finally Fleur's curiosity broke through, her voice hushed but earnest. "So… what do you plan for the upcoming days? Next year… it will be my last year here."

Eira blinked at her, brushing a strand of silver hair behind Fleur's ear. "Next year I'll be going to Hogwarts. Maybe… maybe something will happen. I'm not sure, but when I was at the Ministry of Magic, there were some talks about a tournament. A competition between schools. If it happens, you'll come too, Fleur. I'm sure of it."

Fleur's lips parted, her brows knitting with worry. "But what if it doesn't happen then what?,I don't want to be away from you. Not even for a minute."

Eira smiled gently, pressing a kiss to her temple. "Then don't be. Next year, when you graduate, you can work for me. Stay by my side."

Fleur blinked at her, then giggled softly. "Work for you?" Her tone was half incredulous, half playful. "And how much would you pay me, hm?"

Eira smirked, leaning closer until her lips brushed Fleur's cheek. "How much do you pay your girlfriend?" she whispered.

Fleur's face went scarlet, laughter bubbling in her throat. "So I am your girlfriend now?"

"You kissed me first," Eira teased, planting a kiss at the corner of her lips. "That makes it official."

Fleur swatted her shoulder lightly, then pulled her closer until their noses touched. "So? My salary?"

Eira's expression softened into something dangerously tender. Her voice dropped low, filled with devotion. "All of it. My family name, my wealth, my lands, my assets. All of it belongs to you, Fleur. If it makes you happy."

Fleur's breath hitched, her eyes wide, tears shimmering again—but this time out of joy. "Eira…"

"Shh," Eira hushed her, kissing her again.

This time their lips did not part quickly. The kiss deepened, slow and searching, lips moving against each other with growing urgency. Fleur's arms tightened around Eira's shoulders, pulling her closer, while Eira's hand slid to the back of her neck, holding her in place as though she'd never let go.

Their mouths opened, breath mingling, and Eira felt the tentative brush of Fleur's tongue against her lower lip. Her heart thundered. With a shiver of daring, she responded, parting her lips further, inviting Fleur in.

The kiss transformed—no longer tentative, but intimate, consuming. Their tongues met, shy at first, then surer, sliding against each other in a dance that sent heat rushing through Eira's body. She felt Fleur's shiver beneath her, heard the faint whimper in her throat as she clung tighter, answering the kiss with unrestrained passion.

It was intoxicating.

Eira's mind spun blank, her senses overwhelmed by the taste of Fleur's mouth—warm, sweet, with a faint tang of mango still lingering. Her tongue explored, memorizing, claiming, while Fleur met her eagerly, as though she too had been starved for this closeness.

When they finally broke apart, gasping for breath, their lips were swollen, their faces flushed. They pressed their foreheads together, panting softly, their bodies still tangled as though they feared the world would tear them apart if they loosened their hold.

Fleur laughed breathlessly, her voice shaky with joy. "So… that's what it feels like. Like… like finding something I never knew I was missing."

Eira smiled faintly, her eyes shining with love and something darker and more possessive. "And now you'll never miss it again. Because you're mine. Forever."

Fleur shivered, but she smiled, eyes filled with devotion. "Yes. Yours Forever."

They kissed again, deeper, hungrier, pouring every unspoken promise into the meeting of their mouths. The afternoon waned, shadows stretched across the valley, and still they lay there—hearts, breaths, and lips bound together—two souls who had found happiness in each other.
