ROSS CAMERON
Ross' suggestion of a two-day honeymoon in Hot Springs had Susan sprinting to the car and mumbling excuses about returning to work. Her heart, despite strict orders from her head to cut it out, rejoiced at being Mrs. Ross Cameron.
Elation argued with guilt through the long drive home and by the time they made the turn onto her street, Susan felt like a squeezed-out sponge. Her stomach churned and her head throbbed—not good reactions of someone who'd just gotten married.
"Uh-oh."
Ross' voice sounded edgy. She saw the big, black imposing Mercedes parked in her driveway seconds after his ominous uh-oh. Great. Now what? She parked by the curb and got out of the car. She joined Ross on the sidewalk and noticed the look of resignation on his face. "Is this someone you know?"
