Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Awakening of the Golden Sovereign

### Chapter 1: **Awakening of the Golden Sovereign**

When Kaito Ren opened his eyes, he was no longer in his penthouse suite overlooking Tokyo's neon skyline. Instead, warm sunlight streamed in through impossibly tall stained-glass windows. The air smelled of parchment, flowers, and candle wax. Heavy velvet sheets covered his body, far softer than anything he'd ever imported, and the room was vast — larger than his entire apartment back home.

He sat up, confused but sharp, a lifetime of business meetings and subtle dangers conditioning him to adapt fast. His hands were smaller than he remembered, his skin paler. When he glanced in a golden mirror on the bedside, a stranger's face looked back: a youth with regal features, cascading blond hair, and eyes the color of sapphires.

A knock — crisp, deferential. "Young Master Aurelius, are you awake?"

Aurelius? Kaito's mind whirled. Before he could respond, memories not his own flooded in: sword lessons at age five in a courtyard of marble and roses, tutors droning on about mana affinity, feasts in grand halls, whispered warnings from a stern, beautiful woman he knew as his mother — the Duchess Davian. In a few seconds, he understood: this identity wasn't a dream. He was Aurelius Davian, sole heir to the richest house in Eloria, a medieval fantasy world teeming with magic and danger.

A surge of excitement coursed through him. In his old world, he'd been called the "Midas Prodigy," turning every venture to gold. Here, it seemed, he had even more.

His mind tingled, and glowing letters appeared before his eyes:

**Divine System Installation… Complete.**

**Welcome, Aurelius Davian — The Golden Sovereign.**

- Unique Skills: [Limitless Wealth Creation], [Absolute Combat Mastery], [Beast Concord], [World-Building Authority]

- Inventory: 9,999,999,999 gold florins, Legendary Sword: Sunshatter, Spellbook: Arcane Supreme, Title: Heir of the Davian House.

He read through the pop-up, almost laughing. No startup in Tokyo had ever given him perks this ridiculous.

The door opened. A dignified butler entered, bowing with perfect form. "My lord, your presence is requested at the high council. There has been… an incident."

Aurelius dressed quickly, hands moving with muscle memory not quite his but swiftly becoming second nature. He glanced at Sunshatter, the sword gleaming by the bedside, and tucked the Arcane Supreme spellbook into his coat.

Down gilded corridors, he strode, grand tapestries and ancient portraits lining the walls. Servants and guards bowed as he passed.

In the council chamber, tension crackled. A fat merchant quivered, sweat beading on his brow. "Bandits, Your Grace! They… they demand a ransom or the town burns."

His mother's gaze was ice. "The Davians do not bargain with outlaws."

Aurelius interjected, his new voice clear and commanding. "Summon my knights. Prepare five thousand gold florins. And… fetch my sword."

Stunned silence.

"My lord?" his steward sputtered.

"I will meet the bandits myself." Aurelius smiled — confident, hungry. "Let us see how bargaining is done by the heirs of Davian."

As the council buzzed, Aurelius mentally activated his system: [Absolute Combat Mastery]. Information flooded him — sword forms, dueling spells, every tactic for psychological warfare.

He realized, with a thrill, just how overpowered he truly was. With gold, magic, and skill beyond reckoning, he would not merely survive in this world.

He would rule it.
