Chapter 199 - CHAPTER 199:My Righteous Body Is Not Cheap!

"Shiraha… teacher?"

Kurosaki Ichigo, Ishida Uryū, Inoue Orihime, and Sado Yasutora looked at each other in disbelief, recognizing the name instantly. The same surprise flashed in all their eyes.

"No, it must be a coincidence. There's no way Captain Shiraha would come here to be a teacher," Ichigo said quickly.

As the captain of the Seventh Division, Shiraha wouldn't abandon Soul Society to teach at a human high school—especially not theirs.

"Well, Kurosaki, you're probably right. It must just be a similar name," Ishida said, adjusting his glasses with his usual calm.

"Still… I think it really might be Mr. Shiraha," Orihime murmured softly.

Sado said nothing, but his quiet eyes were fixed on the door.

The classroom door slid open with a sharp click.

Shiraha entered, Yoruichi curled lazily in his arms.

"Such strange clothes."

"He's really handsome, and he's holding a cat."

"Is that a real sword at his waist?"

The students' whispers rose instantly, filling the room with curious chatter.

"Mr. Shiraha… and Yoruichi?"

Ichigo's eyes widened. This Shiraha looked completely different from the one they'd last seen in Soul Society. His once-blind eyes now shone with a glacial blue hue, clear and calm, and a pure white blade hung from his side.

He couldn't be carrying a real Zanpakutō—not in a Gigai.

"Mr. Shiraha's eyes have recovered," Orihime whispered, fascinated. "They're… beautiful."

"Captain Shiraha…" Ishida muttered under his breath, equally stunned.

"Alright, everyone, quiet down," Ochi Meiyu said, tapping the podium. Her voice brought the noise to a halt.

She coughed lightly and smiled. "This is Kuchiki Shiraha, a special transfer teacher invited from Naruki City. He'll be teaching the elective course on ancient rituals from now on."

Then, glancing up shyly, her cheeks flushed. "I'll leave the rest to you, Mr. Shiraha. If you need anything, please come to the office."

"Thank you, Ms. Ochi." Shiraha's smile was calm, his tone polite.

After she left, he turned to the class. "My name is Kuchiki Shiraha. I'll be teaching you the ancient etiquette course—an elective that meets once a month."

Of course, Shiraha wasn't here to teach. He only needed to complete a mission and check in. His temporary role as a teacher would end soon.

The room buzzed again with murmurs.

"Mr. Shiraha, why are you here?" Ichigo asked, rising from his seat.

"Wait, Ichigo, you know him?" Tatsuki said, raising an eyebrow.

"Uh… well, about that…" Ichigo scratched his head, unsure how to answer.

Shiraha glanced down at the roster on the podium and smiled faintly. "Arisawa Tatsuki, right? I saved Kurosaki Ichigo's life once. You could say I'm his savior."

The class murmured again.

"Yes, that's right!" Ichigo nodded quickly. "He saved me before."

"Really?" Tatsuki looked doubtful but didn't press further.

The four—Ichigo, Orihime, Ishida, and Sado—knew better than to speak about Soul Society here.

"Alright then," Shiraha said, petting Yoruichi's fur, "I'll take one random question."

He scanned the room. "Kojima Mizuiro."

"Mr. Shiraha, that white sword on your waist— is it real?" Mizuiro asked.

Shiraha's lips curved. "Of course not. It's only a decoration. Why, do I look like someone who'd bring a real weapon to class?"

The students burst out laughing, and Mizuiro sat down, embarrassed.

Just then, a booming voice echoed from outside the window.

"Kurosaki Ichigo! I know you're here! Come out right now! How long do you plan to keep me waiting?"

The class froze.

Ichigo turned toward the window, his expression darkening. Renji's loud, unmistakable voice filled the air.

"Ichigo, you know him?" Keigo asked, leaning over.

"Yeah… kind of. He's, uh, a relative," Ichigo muttered, already heading for the door. "Mr. Shiraha, excuse me for a moment."

Shiraha's gaze flicked toward the window. "Renji?" he said under his breath.

"Alright everyone, self-study for now," Shiraha said, lifting Yoruichi from his lap. "If you're interested in my course, sign up with Ms. Ochi."

He smiled faintly and stepped out of the room.

"I'll go too," Orihime said suddenly, standing up.

"Same," Ishida added, closing his book.

"Me too," Sado said simply.

The three followed Ichigo out.

"Again? Ichigo and the others always run off like that," Keigo groaned.

"Seriously," Tatsuki sighed, crossing her arms but glancing out the window with a mix of concern and curiosity.

Outside, Ichigo dragged Renji into the shade of a nearby bush.

"What the hell are you doing here?" he hissed.

"Quiet! I've been assigned as the Soul Reaper stationed in Karakura Town for a month," Renji said proudly, crossing his arms. "After checking in with Urahara, I figured I'd come greet you. Got a problem with that?"

"You? You're only a vice-captain. Isn't Captain Shiraha already here?" Ichigo shot back.

Renji blinked. "Wait—how do you even know Captain Shiraha came to this world?"

Before Ichigo could answer, a calm voice cut through the air.

"Because I'm right here, Renji."

Shiraha appeared silently, Yoruichi perched comfortably in his arms. His presence carried the same effortless composure as always.

"Captain Shiraha!" Renji straightened immediately, bowing.

Ichigo frowned. "Mr. Shiraha, you're using a Gigai. How can you still move with Shunpo?"

Shiraha smiled faintly, his tone cool. "Don't compare my righteous body to your cheap one, Renji."
