When I arrived at Bel's home, I waited till it was almost dark before calling my uncle
" I will be staying at Bel's place for the night"
" why"
" the wedding just ended and I am too exhausted to wait for Mark" I heard him release curse
" where the fuck are you"
"I am on my way to her house" he scoffed then said
"Cennet it seems like you have forgotten who I am( I fell silent )quick advice, don't mess with me" he said and ended the call before I even had a chance to reply
My heart was pounding heavily inside my chest, he didn't even give me a very hard warning but I was already shaking in fear
Of course I haven't forgotten who he is, a man that can do anything just to get what he wants, no matter who is getting hurt, he doesn't care.
I hurriedly began to arrange my purse to leave when Bel suddenly popped up
" where are you going, it's already last"
" I have to go, if my uncle doesn't see me this night I don't think you will forever see me again, he's not gonna spear me"
" calm down girl, stop over thinking, he won't hurt you"
" you don't know him Bel, I have to go"
" you are not going anywhere, it's already late (she looked worried)calm down let me think"
She sat on the bed and was looking like someone who was trying to solve a maths quiz
I felt bad seeing her this way, she is putting my whole problems in front of her and trying to tackle it
"You don't have to worry about me…"
" why shouldn't I, that's what friends do right" she starred at me
I breathe a sigh and decided to take a bold decision once
"You don't have to worry or think too much , I am ready to face him tomorro"
"Really"she replied looking stunned at my sudden bravery
"Yeah"
" now thats the kind of words I like hearing, you don't have to be scared of him anymore" I smiled and hugged her
" thanks Bel, you are the best"
" anytime, change up and come down for dinner" she concluded and released for the hug before going downstairs
I smiled as she left
I changed into something free and comfortable . I climbed on the bed for just a short nap because I was already tired
How was I supposed to know that my short nap would turn into a long night sleep
Dawn….
The sun rays reflected on my face and I opened my eyes, it was morning already I don't even know when I slept off
I checked the time and my eyes widened in surprise, I woke up kinda late, breakfast
was ready by that time. I took my bath and justsat down on the. bed, I just realized I didn't have any inner-wears to change into
A few minutes later Bel came
"Oh you are awake" I smiled at her, she handed me a bag shewas holding
" I got you this from a nearby supermarket , change then comedown for breakfast and also you can pick a dress for mywardrobe"
"Thanks" She nodded and left
I went to her wardrobe and tookout a big jeans trouser along with a white crop-top. I wore it and sat in front of the mirror to comb.
my hair, I combed it properly and allowed it to fall on my back thensprayed a strawberry spray on it before going downstairs
for breakfastI arrived downstairs and my eyes fell on the dining table, where Bel's mom was dishing out the food, smiling and cracking jokes with Bel and her dad who were already seated, they look like a one big happy family
My eyes became watery when I remembered I had no one to call a family, mom never eats with me, I always eat alone in a cold empty room .
At my uncles house, I eat with him sometimes but with fear and constant thoughts of what he might do to me afterwards.
Why am I so unlucky, I did everything in my power to show my mom how much I love her but she just hated me the more and my uncle is no difference from her
I was snapped out of my thoughts when Bel un expectedly tapped me on the shoulder, I quickly cleaned my eyes
"What's wrong Cennet, I have been calling your name but you did not even move and why are you crying"
"Am not crying, I just got some dirt in my eyes"
"Let me see maybe I can get it out for you"
" no worries it's already out, lets go" I said faking a smile in order to look convincing, she nodded and we walked together to the breakfast table.
There was lots of chatting on the table but I was the only one who was quiet, I just stuffed my mouth with hot pancakes trying to forget about the pain in my heart and instead focus on the pain in my mouth ,but the pancakes were really hot,I couldn't contain the pain and a little scream escaped from my mouth
"Be careful dear the pancakes are still hot" Bel's mom said
" yeah thanks , I realized that" she nodded and continued eating.
Suddenly I felt out of place again so I grabbed my plate and said
"I will be upstairs" without allowing them ask why, I quickly went upstairs
I went straight to Bel's room, dropped the plate of pancakes and sat by the window side . I took out my phone and went to my secret album, there was only one video there, it was a video of my mom.
In that video she was confidential lying about why she took such a long break from modeling, her reason was that ,she losthery dad who was a very important and only family she has left, the incident made her depressed and she began to gain weight because by that time food was her only companion but after a while she got back on her two feets again and convinced herself , that's not the end of life,she began to visit the gym regularly and got her body back after some months , she came back to modeling.
The crowd was filled with screams and endless clapping, calling her a real diva.
But all she said in that video was a big fat lie. Firstly, she cares about no one except from her self and secondly, the reason she took such a long Leave from modeling was because she was pregnant with me and when I was born, she made sure she showered me with all the hatred in the world,Gosh! She is one hell of a mother
I was still lost in my thought when I got a light tap on the shoulder, I flinched a bit and turned around, it was Bel
"Hey, thanks for the breakfast it was lovely" I said and faked a smile
"And yet barely finished yours"
"I am full already"
"You went to bed last night without having your dinner and today you barely ate any pancakes, how do you explain that"
I became silent
"Is there something bothering you" the pain and lonely I felt deep in my heart was too much so I decide to spill it out
" it's just that seeing you guys as a one happy family makes me remember I don't have a real fat,the only family I have despises me"
"Your uncle"
"No, to hell with him, I meant someone else( I sighed) honestly Bel you have no idea how lucky you are" I said and sat down on the bed,I did not want to bother with my problems but it just came out
She sat down beside me and hugged me then she said something that made my heart swell
