"I want to ask you something," Alexei inched closer, easily invading Elijah's personal space.
All the while, Elijah merely stood there, without pushing the redhead away.
"Do you like me?"
Elijah hummed. Of course, he did. If he hadn't, why would he let him enter his house despite knowing the truth?
"So why? Why do you keep pushing me away?"
When the exorcist didn't reply, all the irritation Alexei had been trying to bury under the fake sweet talk rushed to his head.
If anyone dared say Elijah and Aaron had a normal student-teacher relationship, that person would be the first to be buried under six feet.
Be calm? How the fuck was he supposed to stay calm when Aaron was so obviously trying to get Elijah's attention?
"Aaron was your first love?" he jabbed his hand into Elijah's chest, pushing him back a step. "Still can't let go of him?"
Another push, and Elijah was almost pressed against the wall.
"Yes." Elijah finally replied before shaking his head in denial. "And no."
