Elijah didn't know whether to laugh or cry.
The youngster beside him was staring out of the window, his face tense, almost stern.
If one didn't know the situation, they would think Alexei was angry.
But in reality...
"Don't look at me," Alexei muttered, hiding his face in his palm. "It's all your fault for being so ridiculously pretty."
Elijah was helpless.
And why was he being called pretty?
He wasn't vain, but handsome should be the word. No?
However, he didn't voice it because staring at Alexei… was kind of… amusing.
Normally, the boy was never this shy, always saying everything aloud.
It took Elijah a few seconds to figure out the reason why.
Perhaps when Elijah had tried to cut off communication earlier, the young master had grown impatient.
Alexei had been using whatever means he could. Words, actions, anything that made Elijah notice him.
That strategy had succeeded.
If not for that boldness, Elijah wouldn't have been so easily captivated.
