Alexei's mind grew hazy. The last thing he remembered was the sight of gray eyes looking at him with a smile.
That single glance was enough to silence every restless part of him.
His sense of time was completely distorted. It felt like an instant, yet an eternity seemed to drift from his fingertips.
"I've never seen a human rule so many spirits at once. Who are you?"

Even in a deep sleep, his brows furrowed.
There should have been nothing here. Only the familiar, endless void that followed him everywhere.
He couldn't tell exactly when it had all started, but from time to time, nightmares had plagued him.
His heart had a gaping mouth lined with jagged teeth. An urge to consume everything always thrummed under his skin.
He wanted to devour until he felt satiated. Satisfaction never came. Anguish did.
Panic would consume him as easily as rage after those moments.
Because in those times, loneliness clawed at him, and all that rage had nowhere to go.
