Chapter 72 - Chapter 65 – The Secret Mission

The throne hall shook with Gid's laughter. The guards straightened, every soldier trying to mask their fear, but their king's voice made the air itself heavy.

"So, this is the little parasite," he sneered, stepping forward. His gaze stabbed into me like a blade. "You think because you frightened a few men and whispered into my daughter's ear that you are something more than a pet?"

Lala stepped forward, fists clenched. "Father—!"

"Quiet, Lala," Gid snapped, not even looking at her. "This is between me and the thing that dares to think it belongs in my house."

I felt Lala's pulse falter. Felt Haruna's heart quicken from across the chamber. Even Sephie's composure cracked for a second.

And then—

[SYSTEM ALERT – SECRET MISSION REVEALED]⚜ Mission: KingbreakerObjective: Survive a direct confrontation with King Gid Lucione Deviluke without abandoning your identity.Conditions: Victory is not destruction—it is domination. Force recognition.Reward: Reality Gacha x3 + Unique Skill Unlock (Royal-tier).

The words burned themselves into my mind. Not consume. Not kill. Dominate.

The darker voice in me hissed: [This is your chance. Tear him apart.]

Aiko's softer echo followed: [Or prove you're more than a monster.]

I raised my head. My form stabilized, shaping fully human, tall and calm. My eyes locked on Gid's.

"You mistake me, King of Deviluke," I said, my voice steady as the system thrummed inside me. "I am not here to steal your daughter. I am not here to usurp your throne. I am here because I chose to be—and because she chose me."

Lala's hand trembled, then found mine.

Gid's grin sharpened. "Big words for a parasite." He flared his aura, the floor cracking beneath his feet. Power radiated from him like a sun about to collapse.

Guards staggered back. Haruna gasped. Even Sephie's eyes narrowed.

I didn't flinch.

Because I remembered the mission. Survive. Dominate. Force recognition.

Not as a monster.Not as a god.But as Scourge.

"Try me," I whispered.

The hall ignited in battle-light.
