Hope passed out because she had outdone herself.
She jolted awake with a gasp by almost midnight, her breath catching in her throat as heat coiled low in her belly.
It was a familiar, undeniable pain..
The pulse between her thighs throbbed with each heartbeat, demanding attention, demanding relief. Her skin felt too tight, too sensitive, like even the brush of the sheets against her bare legs was too much and not enough at the same time.
Hope clutched the blanket to her chest, biting down a whimper. She knew what this was.
The heat was back.
