HOPE
The stranger in my room was Finn. Finn is already waiting on my bed. He's dressed hair still damp from a shower, shirt hugging his shoulders just right and thankfully, he looks way better than the last time I saw him.
He's been snapping his finger causing the light to flicker and counting on numbers while waiting for me. A sheer out of boredom.
I can't help the grin that tugs at my lips as I pass him on the way to the bathroom, but before I make it, he catches my hand and gently pulls me into him.
"You actually look like you slept very well Your eye bags are gone and I can feel your wolf bubbling with joy," he murmurs into my hair.
I press my nose against his chest and inhale his scent. It grounds me.
"Is that your charming way of saying I looked like crap the other day? Thanks." I chuckle
"But yeah, I do feel better. Asher was an easy start and he's less of a jerk, more... morally grey though."
