Chapter 2 - Ch.2 - Warriors of Darkness

Chapter Two: Warriors of Darkness

Samir blocks the warriors' strikes with his ancient blade, then signals with his hand and swiftly takes down three of them. But the strongest among them rises quickly, unleashing a surge of magical energy through his sword aimed directly at Samir. Samir blocks it just in time with his own sword, then draws his hands into a bow-like position.

From his fingertips, a strange wave of searing magical energy bursts forth and slams the warrior into the wall.

Samir continues to fight fiercely, knocking the remaining fighters to the ground. He roars:

Samir: "Imran! Nazek! Run! Leave my horse — I'll catch up!"

Imran: "But Uncle—?!"

Nazek: "Imran, come on! We have to trust him!"

Imran and Nazek sprint away. Outside, they find Absi collapsed on the ground, hands on his head, screaming in fear.

They quickly pick him up and flee toward the horses.

Absi: "I have a horse! I'll take it — I'm coming!"

The three dash into the desert at top speed, with five of the Warriors of Darkness hot on their heels.

Back at the inn, the battle rages on. Samir faces off against the remaining three warriors. He swings his sword like a seasoned duelist, a master impossible to bring down. He deals devastating blows, wounding them all severely — then escapes.

The strongest of the three slowly rises, bloodied and shaking.

Warrior: "Haah... So this is the power of Emission..."

But he fails to fully stand and collapses again.

---

Imran, Nazek, and Absi reach a desert clearing — no more places to run. Only one choice remains: fight.

Imran unsheathes his father's sword and tries to defend them, but he's inexperienced. He can't hold off the attackers alone.

Nazek is knocked to the ground, and a warrior raises his blade to strike her down.

Absi is also under attack, trying to crawl away.

Suddenly — an arrow, out of nowhere, strikes and kills the warrior attacking Nazek.

Nazek grabs her weapon and stabs the fighter who was chasing Absi, stabbing him from behind.

Imran is overwhelmed — he's surrounded by three warriors and clearly losing.

But just before the end, three arrows slice through the air and kill the remaining enemies instantly.

---

From the distance, a man approaches. He's holding a bow, calm and composed.

Stranger: "Hello, children. What are you doing alone in the middle of the desert?

And you, boy — that's a fine sword you're carrying. Where did you get it?"

Imran: "It was my fa—"

Suddenly, Samir rushes into view at full speed, sword raised toward the stranger — then stops in shock.

Samir: "...It's you?!

Riyadh?!"
