Chapter 192 - 192: Tear Him Apart

Lucian's POV

I wanted to tear him apart.

Every fiber of my being screamed for Aldric's blood. Five days. Five fucking days of needles and torture and that bastard's voice telling me I was becoming something better while I begged for death.

I lunged at him, claws out, fangs bared. The vampire side of me was hungry for violence and the lycan in me howled for revenge. Both sides wanted the same thing for once.

But Aldric slid away like he was made of smoke, and my claws caught nothing but air.

"Faster than that, boy," he said, like he was correcting a child's homework. "A few days of vampire blood doesn't make you special."

Then he was gone. Just gone.

I spun around, trying to track him, when I heard the scream. High-pitched, terrified, cut short.

There he was. Standing over some first-year girl who had been hiding behind a chunk of rubble. She couldn't have been older than eighteen. I'd seen her around campus, always smiling, always excited about everything.
