A massive sphere of water enveloped all the poison gas bombs, neutralizing the threat.

Pakura finally realized—he wasn't the monster she thought. He'd planned this, using her sympathy to subdue her while ensuring the bombs' safety.

He whistled. She was a rare beauty—even by Konoha's standards.
(No wonder the Captain ignored all those bar girls I set him up with…)
"Shukutaro. Move."
A kick to the rear sped him up.
"Careful with these, Captain! One leak and we're toast!"
He unsealed a massive scroll, safely storing the poison bombs.
"This kunoichi is high-value. I'll interrogate her personally. Guard her well."
"Oh, I get it~"
Shukutaro's sleazy wink earned him an eye-roll.

Elsewhere, the battle raged on.
The Suna guards were skilled—but outnumbered two-to-one.
Uchiha Shun finished first. With a flick of his three-tomoe Sharingan, his Illusionary Sword Technique ended his fight.
Not to be outdone, Hagane Kotetsu unleashed his Vacuum Blade, decapitating his opponent.
But Tosaka Raido struggled. Without Fūjin and Raijin and Yamashiro Aoba backing him, his foe might've escaped.
(Still… he's improved.)
Umino Yoru observed silently.
"Big Boss! We obeyed! Where's our reward?"
Fūjin and Raijin abandoned the fight, drooling.
Tossing them sugar cubes, Yoru turned back—just as the last Suna nin tried to flee.
"Dead end."
Yamashiro Aoba blocked him.
"Scattering a Thousand Crows Technique!"
A genjutsu erupted—swarms of crows blinded the enemy.
Two kunai shot out. The ninja raised an arm in desperation—
"Secret Technique: Stone Needles!"
Chakra surged through the attached wires, paralyzing the Suna shinobi instantly.
Game over.
