"Agh—! Damn it, that hurts!"
Once again, Kirigakure Ryūsuke used Hydrification Technique to avoid a fatal blow—but this time, his screams were raw with pain.
Clearly, while the Water Spears were far from the S-Rank Hard Vortex Jutsu or the fusion of Rasengan and Breaking Torrent, their destructive power couldn't be ignored.
More importantly, the Spiral Piercing Wave—infused with Wind Release chakra—acted like Chidori, directly countering the Hydrification Technique.
The attack's cellular-level disruption surpassed the limits of physical immunity.
If not for Ryūsuke's mastery of Hydration Healing, he would've been impaled on the spot.
Now, he realized—Umino Yoru could kill him.
Fear gripped him.
"Retreat!"
Ryūsuke flashed through hand seals, activating Body Flicker Technique to flee.
Yoru triggered Wind Breathing, his steps explosive as he pursued—but even wounded, the elite Jonin was terrifyingly fast.
Despite the boost, Yoru couldn't intercept him.
Konoha ninja closed in, only for Ryūsuke to slip past effortlessly. Had the armored puppets not shielded them, several would've been cut down.
"White Blood Demon… I'll be back." Ryūsuke sneered over his shoulder.
"You think you can run after picking a fight?" Yoru's voice was icy. "Too late."
Then—
"Gate of View, OPEN!"
Might Dai unleashed the Sixth Gate, blocking Ryūsuke's path.
"Water Release: Water Gun Jutsu!"
Ryūsuke's fingers gunpointed, firing bullet-like water shots—fast, dense, capable of shredding steel.
Yet Dai, bathed in green chakra, dodged them all.
His stance lowered, the ground beneath him cracked.
"Shit—!"
Ryūsuke's face paled. He knew what was coming.
"Water Release: Water Shield!"
His body expanded into a monstrous water form, attempting to absorb the impact.
Dai's muscles coiled—then blurred.
"MORNING ROOSTER!"
A streak of crimson pierced through the water beast.
A gaping hole, wide as a millstone, tore through its center. Then—the water ignited, dissolving like paper in flame.
The liquid pooled, revealing Ryūsuke's corpse—his chest vaporized, the stench of charred flesh lingering.
"That power…" Yoru's breath hitched.
Physical force burning through water?
What kind of monstrous attack was that?
As Dai deactivated the gates, Yoru rushed over, healing chakra already swirling.
"You good?"
He enveloped Dai in Hydration Healing, pressing honey-infused energy bars into his hands.
"Sixth Gate's nothing now!" Dai grinned, far more stable than when he'd first used Morning Peacock.
Thanks to Yoru's treatments, Dai's old injuries had healed—his body now strong enough to handle the Seventh Gate.
(Though Eighth Gate remained a fleeting, deadly gamble.)
"Dai… why 'Morning Rooster'?"
Such a devastating move deserved a grander name than its predecessor.
"Roosters crow before peacocks wake!" Dai flexed. "So this one's faster!"
"…Sure."
(Note to self: Get Namikaze to rename this later.)

### Tactical Adjustments
With Ryūsuke dead, Yoru assessed the situation:
- The Seven Ninja Swordsmen were still a threat.
- Kisame Hoshigaki (Samehada) and Zabuza Momochi (Kubikiribōchō) were likely stronger than Ryūsuke.
- Black Lightning Raiga needed caution. The other three? Less concerning.
Might Dai couldn't yet replicate his future Eight-Gate suicide blitz, but the Swordsmen weren't at their peak either.
Solution:
- Dai distracts four Swordsmen.
- The rest? Improvise.
Then—Yoru's gaze locked on Ryūsuke's twin blades, Hiramekarei.
"If the puppets wield these…"
The armored puppets had defense but lacked offense.
Equipping them with Hiramekarei would bridge that gap—potentially elevating them to elite Jonin-tier.
(Bonus: Split the blades. Two puppets, double the threat.)
"Sealing team! We've got work to do!"
Yoru hauled Ryūsuke's corpse away, already barking orders.
