After checking the cargo and docking the boat, Hyoubu and the crew sat outside, enjoying food and drinks from a nearby restaurant.
Andy was leaning his head on his hand and staring at the happily eating Yugiri, who sat between Hyoubu and Senzo, munching ice cream and sipping her soda.
What did that Magi guy head off to do? Andy wondered, a bored expression on his face.
After he left, they went around the canals of Venice and then came to this restaurant, with nothing happening. He had steeled his nerves after Hyoubu said he had to do something, but when was it even happening?
He had no idea, and he didn't want to ask. He was trying to actually join their ranks to quickly complete his mission.
Senzo, on the other hand, was relaxing as he sat next to Yugiri and was admiring Momiji, who sat across from him.
"Oh. Magi-san, you're late." Yo said suddenly. But Andy didn't see Magi anywhere.
But that made sense; everyone here was a high-level esper after all. He just chalked it up to it being Yo's psychic power.
"Fine, fine. We're on our way."
Then in a single sip he finished his coffee, and Senzo also stood up suddenly.
The two stood next to Momiji; she turned toward Hyoubu. "We're going."
"Sure."
When Andy saw the trio disappear, he assumed Momiji was a teleporter.
"Whoa!"
He suddenly shouted as he barely dodged a brick that Hyoubu had thrown at him, but when he angrily stood up, he saw all kinds of objects float above Hyoubu, from bricks to spoons and even whole bottles of wine.
"You need to get going, too." Hyoubu ordered with a smile on his face.
While Yugiri next to him was still happily eating her ice cream. She didn't seem to have a care in the world.
"The next one won't miss." Hyoubu added.
"Get running, slowpoke."
"Alright, alright. You could have at least given me a heads-up or, like Senzo... Actually never mind, I'm going already." He shouted, feeling shivers run down his spine, and when he ran into a narrow alley, he heard glass shattering right behind him.
That bastard actually threw a whole bottle?! Not thinking about the boss, he tried to find the other three members that had just left.
"Tsk, that bastard. He tells me to go but not to where."
While complaining about his unreasonable boss, he was looking around the narrow alleys trying to locate the others when he suddenly heard Yo's voice in his mind.
"Turn right at that corner. Enter the building's courtyard."
"A voice again?" he exclaimed, looking around surprised.
"Hurry it up, newcomer! You should take notes of how Senzo is doing it."
"Dammit. Shut up, messy hair!"
Andy didn't have time to hesitate and made his way toward where Yo had instructed him to go; when he arrived, he suddenly felt a sharp pain assault his head.
With both hands he immediately covered his ears as he grimaced. And looked around for the origin of the noise.
That's when he saw Yo with mouth wide open, and he could see the sound waves escaping from there. While wondering what that was, he thought back to how his voice suddenly appeared in his head.
That must be his power, right? he thought. But before he could think more, he suddenly saw a person being slammed into the ground.
Instant death—there was no way anyone could survive such an impact. Looking upwards, he saw Magi floating there, holding another person within his deformed black wings. The entangled person was struggling to try and free himself, but it was of no use.
Without a moment's hesitation, Magi reformed his wings into sharp knives and completely diced the person up. He then glanced to his right and saw Momiji teleport after someone that was also teleporting.
With a smile she teleported one last time and stuck out her hand, then the other person, who was also teleporting, was smashed into the wall. It was like he was squashed by a massive invisible hand.
Andy looked at the man who lay dead on the ground and the other man who was squashed into the wall. Then through a narrow alley where ordinary people were cluelessly walking by, they didn't notice a thing!
After Yo confirmed all the enemies were dead, he closed his mouth with a smirk.
Then Senzo came out of the building holding the last of the men in suits who were pursuing them.
"What should I do with this one?" he asked, holding the man by his collar.
The man wanted to scream, shout, or do anything, but it was impossible. It felt like his whole body was wrapped in something invisible but unbreakable.
"Oh? Not bad, newbie!" Yo, remarked, slapping Senzo on the shoulder.
Momiji and Magi also turned toward him, both smiling.
"Just kill him," Magi said.
Momiji, on the other hand, approached him with a sly smile. "You have guts to pick a fight with us, mister~," she remarked, a teasing smile on her face.
Then the man was smashed into the concrete with such force that he became a paste.
"Alright, was that all?" Senzo asked, dusting his hands off with his clothes.
Looking at the others, Andy finally saw them for who they are; they might have acted so leisurely on the boat. But these people were Pandra, the world's most powerful esper criminal organization.
"I'll report back to the major." Yo said.
Magi and Momiji just nodded as they leaned against the wall awaiting Hyoubu's next instructions.
"So who were they?" Hyoubu inquired while he was still seated next to Yugiri at the restaurant. It looked like he was talking to no one to any onlookers, but he knew better.
"Members of the Maldini family. In other words, the group we're making a deal with tonight."
"Oh? I see."
"Was it delicious, Yugiri?" he asked as he and Yugiri left the table that was now surrounded by dead men, all armed with guns and wearing the same clothes as the people Magi and the others had dispatched.
"Yeah." She replied, holding Hyoubu's hand as they strolled into the distance.
"As planned, the deal goes down tonight."
Yo had a serious look on his face, and the moment Magi and Momiji saw it, they knew what time it was.
"As expected, the major is merciless; let's go." Magi declared.
"As for you, newcomer with the power to negate other powers, Yo will tell you the location where you need to go."
After he said that, everyone stood close to Momiji, and they vanished from sight.

"This has to be the most inconvenient power ever!"
