Chapter 3: A True-Blooded Britain
[You hurriedly leave the classroom.]
[You follow Finn-sensei to the office.]
"Eikou-kun, I've already heard about your recent situation from the principal..."
Finn-sensei, rarely, showed a serious expression.
"Because you participated in the Holy Grail War before, it's understandable that your grades have recently dropped. Not realizing this was probably the biggest mistake I've made since my beloved wife Gráinne ran off with her lover!"
"…That's a bit heavy, isn't it?" Eikou muttered.
"In any case, Eikou-kun, right now you're considered a hero of Chaldea Academy,"
Finn continued,
"It makes no sense for someone who's done such good deeds to flunk out, so the academy has decided to arrange a personal tutoring session for you. From here on, as long as it's related to study, whatever you request, the academy will try to provide."
Eikou raised his brows in surprise. "There's no need to go to all that trouble—just don't cancel my vacation after the exam and I'll be fine!"
"Haha, that won't do. Strict and proud as she is, Scathach would never accept such a result. Besides, even if we give you a backdoor pass this time, your grades won't improve and you'll fail again next time. Better to fix the root of the problem now."
"Alright then, sensei,"
Eikou said, a little disappointed but finding it reasonable,
"So, sensei, are you going to start tutoring me now?"
"Haha, of course not me. I have to leave the city for work. The Chaldea Academy has arranged a new trainee teacher for you." Finn chuckled. "Want to guess which teacher it is? Like me, a golden card, also a Servant Lancer, and a true-blooded Britain."
A true-blooded Britain again? I've seen this setup so many times, and it's never the person I actually want to appear!
"Too easy—Romulus, Sakamoto Ryoma, Vlad III, or maybe Tezcatlipoca!"
"? None of those you just listed are British, and the last one isn't even a Lancer."
"What's the difference? Every time you give misleading hints, it never ends up being Artoria-sensei! I've had enough. This time it's definitely going to be some annoying male Lancer again!"
"But still… all of us round table knights really want Artoria-sensei!"
Eikou grabbed Finn by the collar, shaking him as he shouted from the depths of his heart:
"Sensei, I'll give you 5QP—can you help me invite Artoria-sensei here? I really want to study properly!"
The super popular one, with a perfect face and an absolutely stunning bust—Artoria Lancer!
Summer is almost here, months have passed, and yet the most beloved Type-Moon character still hasn't shown up!
"You say you want to study seriously? Or rather, if Artoria actually came, could you even concentrate? Eikou-kun, anyone can see your burning desire for Artoria—could you really focus on your lessons?"
Eikou scowled. "No need for hypotheticals. You guys never actually invite her anyway——"
"Oh, do you truly want me to teach that much?"
From the hallway outside the staff room came a clear, pleasant female voice.
The moment he heard it, he froze.
Slowly, he turned his head toward the golden silhouette standing in the corridor.
Eikou's eyes widened to their limits. In his view stood a tall, voluptuous, and beautiful woman with flowing golden hair.
Her hair shone like molten gold, neatly tied in an elegant bun; her lovely face radiated both pride and heroic bearing. Emerald-green eyes, seemingly devoid of emotion, surveyed everyone present with an air of lofty majesty.
Her perfectly upright posture resembled a finely sculpted statue of a divine goddess.
But more than anything…
Too big! Too enticing!
The swelling curves of her chest strained against the fabric, her figure so lush it was almost outrageous—so ripe that, for an instant, Eikou could not tear his gaze away.
"I am Artoria Pendragon, the Lion King, also the new trainee teacher," she said softly, lips like cherry blossoms. "You are Mochizuki Eikou, correct? I have been entrusted by the school to tutor you from now on."
"..."
Faced with that overwhelming allure, Eikou blushed and looked away.
"Maybe… it'd be better for Finn-sensei to give me some special training instead…"
"Why are you shy at a time like this?" Finn-sensei said. "Isn't this the Artoria-sensei you've always wished for? Why would you want me to teach instead?"
"Stop, this is too embarrassing!"
"So you do know embarrassment?" Finn chuckled. "Suddenly I feel I understand what kind of boy you really are…"
"All right."
The Lion King stepped closer, the sound of her high heels striking firmly on the wooden floor.
She came right up to Eikou, and he instinctively took a nervous step back.
"Follow me. In the name of the King of Knights, I will train you to become an outstanding student!"
Her tone was utterly calm and serious, like a soldier executing a mission.
"I… all right then…"
Eikou could clearly hear his own heart pounding as he answered softly.
Like a timid British Shorthair kitten, he trembled and dared not move before the lioness.
Seeing his sudden meekness, Finn couldn't help but laugh. "Eikou-kun, don't forget your own words. Now that Artoria-sensei is here, you must study diligently. With such a beautiful teacher tutoring you one-on-one, even I feel jealous, ahaha!"
However, Finn-sensei quickly put his smile away. "But before I leave on this business trip, I still have a few instructions for you."
"W-what is it?"
"While I'm away, you will temporarily serve as class president, working with Scathach to manage the class."
"Why not give that job to Gawain?"
"I have other arrangements for Gawain. In short, from now on you are the acting class president of Class Britain. You must fulfill the duties of class president, which will perfectly highlight how wise and rational my decision was, hahahaha!"
Eikou thought to himself that maybe Finn's brain had fermented into miso—entrusting the class to him, wasn't he afraid Eikou would throw a party every day?
Still, on second thought, it wasn't entirely unreasonable.
Last month he'd led and won the speed race; this month he'd triumphed in the Holy Grail War. His relationships with the Knights of the Round Table and the Fairy Knights were good, and he held considerable respect in the class. He really could take on the role of class president.
"I'll do my best… sensei!"
Eikou spoke with a serious tone.
After all, Finn-sensei truly entrusted him with this responsibility out of trust, even though his academics were currently awful.
And with a mature, beautiful teacher standing right beside him, he didn't dare crack a single joke!
