Chapter 2 - Prologue II: The Great Birth of a Legacy

Though victorious, Nexus could not completely destroy his brother.

Chaos, the Primordial Darkness, was a force too ancient, too deeply rooted in the fabric of the void.

But he did manage to contain it.

He sealed it in a place beyond time and space:

a formless prison, with no doors, no return.

An abyss where not even the gods dared to look.

Trapped beside him were the most vicious beasts of the Darkness…

and the most devastating weapons ever conceived.

A soft voice pierced the newborn silence.

It was ethereal. Sweet.

A whisper of hope that floated among the wreckage of war.

"Did you make it?"

Mithril, the Great Goddess of the Cosmos, descended amidst the twinklings of young stars.

Her presence was a balm for the scar of the universe.

The melody that healed the broken.

That being who had been born from the Void itself to be the Creator's eternal beloved.

Nexus lowered his head, exhausted.

His once blinding radiance flickered faintly.

"Yes..."

"But... at what price?"

"The wound we have left... will never fully heal."

Some creatures of Chaos had escaped.

Others, trembling before Nexus's light, fell to their knees.

Their distorted bodies cried out for redemption.

And the rest... simply vanished.

Mithrilas approached, his light caressing the very soul of his beloved.

"And now, my love?"

"The universe is empty."

"It needs more than peace... it needs meaning."

Nexus looked up.

His eyes shone like beacons in the endless blackness.

"Balance."

"There cannot be only light... nor only darkness."

"There must be something for which beings, in their transience, wish to live... to fight... to dream."

Mithrilas watched him silently.

Amid the rubble of the Great War, he began to build a new destiny.

And so, Nexus began to weave reality.

From the wreckage of conflict.

From the essences of the fallen.

From their unbreakable will...

The First Gods were born: guardians of order, life, and death.

Those touched by Nexus's light became the Gods of Light:

guides of truth, protectors of the soul.

Those who were touched by the shadow of Chaos,

but purified by Nexus, rose as Dark Gods:

stern, necessary, custodians of the end.

One by one, Nexus named them.

"Cronos!"

"Time is your domain."

A being with a beard made of shooting stars stepped forward,

his eyes seeing both yesterday and tomorrow.

"Thank you, Master."

"Time will be my guide... and my duty."

TICK-TOCK!"

The universe began to pulse.

"Spacelar!"

"Space is your canvas."

A goddess wrapped in nebulas danced in the void,

her laughter creating constellations.

"Thank you, Master Nexus."

"Space will be my garden, and each star, a blooming flower."

WHISTLE!"

The first galaxies took form.

"Divintia!"

"You will be the essence of life."

With a sigh, fields, oceans, creatures sprouted...

"Oh... I can feel the souls waiting to be born."

"It's beautiful!"

PSSHH!"

The first sparks of existence lit up the void.

—Deadwear!

—You will be death.

—Without you, life would have no meaning.

From the gloom emerged an entity covered in shadows.

It brought not punishment, but rest.

—I swear to guide each soul to its end…

—with dignity and purpose.

BOOM!

The first spirit departed.

Then, Nexus raised both hands: one radiated light… the other, shadow.

—Let there be kingdoms!

—Twelve Heavens for light.

—Twelve Hells for darkness.

And the universe vibrated.

In the Heavens, angels, archangels, and cherubs were born…

Beings of song and color, whose existence was harmony.

HELLO!

Laughter drifted like crystal wind.

In the Underworld, demons, beasts, and fallen angels forged their domains.

Iron, fire, and thunder marked their birth.

CLANG! GRRR!

A savage, but necessary, symphony.

Mithrilas, thrilled, approached Nexus.

"Peace has come, gods!"

Nexus nodded, though her gaze grew distant.

"For now..."

"For now?"

"The balance... is fragile, my love."

"It always will be."

"And Chaos... though sealed, waits."

But Nexus raised his hand.

A spark of light danced on his palm.

"Now... we have hope."

"We have... a legacy."

>THE MIRACLE<<

Millennia passed like seconds among the gods.

The universe flourished.

Life expanded.

The balance was maintained... for a time.

Until an unprecedented miracle shook the heart of creation.

In the most sacred sanctuary of Heaven…

"I feel… something."

Mithrilas, his face bathed in celestial light, gently touched her belly.

Inside… an energy never seen before pulsed strongly.

"It's impossible…" whispered Cronus.

"Never before has a god like us… conceived."

"It's a blessing!" cried Divintia.

"A new hope for all!"

Nine divine months later, the entire universe held its breath…

WAAAAH!

A cry… not of pain, but of a miracle.

"It's a boy!"

Mithrilas's voice was a song of rising stars.

In his arms, a small bundle of light… and destiny.

Nexus approached.

His eyes—which had witnessed creation, destruction, and rebirth—were filled with infinite tenderness.

The baby had hair as blue as the predawn sky,

and eyes that shone between deep blue and mystical purple…

as if he carried light and shadow in perfect balance.

"Zodiark…"

"That shall be your name."

"My son."

"My legacy."

Zodiark opened his eyes, and a spark of ancient magic danced in his gaze.

"GUGU!"

A chuckle. An echo of what is to come.

"Look, my love…" Mithrilas said, tears of joy welling up in his eyes.

"He has your eyes."

"And your spirit…" Nexus replied, caressing his cheek with devotion.

The supreme gods knelt in reverence.

Even in the Underworld, a solemn silence fell upon the lesser gods.

Everyone… could feel it.

This child…

This small being…

Carried the weight of a destiny yet to be written.

And as the universe breathed…

An unspoken prophecy began to pulse in the confines of time:

"When the spark of legacy awakens… the balance will be tested. And the universe… must choose."
