Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Akira

"Useless, every meeting is filled with pointless conversation. Bring me a servant, make her at least twenty-five." I barked at my butler Harrison. Every imperial meeting I'm bombarded with solvable issues the elders could handle on their own. It's disgusting how they boast about their lives, while forgetting I appointed them to their positions. "Princess, I've brought your dinner." Harrison entered with a shy, yet composed woman.

Her eyes fluttered at me, there's a saying that you shouldn't play with your food but I've never followed such customs. Harrison bowed and left, leaving me with a new chew toy. She began to strip off her shirt, but I had other plans in mind. "Did I tell you to begin to strip?" I said as I licked my lips. She shook her head, and came closer to desk. Her maid outfit made such a naughty excitement jump in my chest. Her brown eyes demanded attention, but I drifted my eyes towards her skirt before lifting it up. "Lay on the desk."I pressed my lips to her ear. She obediently listened,

I love a woman that can listen. It's no fun compelling people for attention when my presence is more than enough to command what I want. She spread her legs and titled her head back exposing her neck through the strands of her blonde hair. My mouth began to water, as I kissed her thighs, her blood taunting me. I can't deny the feast in front of me, I licked her entrance through her soaking panties. My tongue danced, as she grabbed my hair in pleasure. "I never gave you permission to touch me" I snapped. She froze, before grabbing the corners of the desk and meekly peering down.

I proceeded by grabbing the sides of her underwear with my mouth. I snipped the sides with my fangs, removing them in swift movements. Before I could devour her a knock interrupted me. "Princess, the Duke of Vendulum is here. How would you like me to proceed?" Harrison's tone was soft. A groan escaped my lips, I rolled my eyes before throwing the underwear in the trash and wiping my mouth. "Seat him in the tea room. I'll be out in a moment." I gestured for the servant to adjust herself and leave. "Will I be coming back?" Her gaze stayed planted on the ground as she quietly spoke. "How bold" I chuckled before escorting her out and grabbing my suit jacket.

I stopped in front of the hall mirror, my raven hair looked disheveled from that maid. I should've made it clear to not touch me. My hair touches my shoulders, I slick it back exposing my tattoos on my neck. I soothed out my black blazed jacket, and ensured no cum got on my shirt. Mhm this is presentable enough for someone who walks in without an invitation. Catering to those outside the kingdom is part of the job, but I dread it everytime. I strided to the tea room, with my hands in my pocket. I knocked before slamming the door open "Is there a reason to have an uninvited guest enter without a letter first? Count Verlin" I scolded.

Many fear his appearance, his domineering presence would stifle anyone, but I find his arrogance distasteful. "Princess Akira, greetings to the Moon of the Empire." He said without a hint of guilt from interrupting me prior engagements. "I've come to finalize your engagement with my daughter. You do remember the pact you made with me when you decided to take the throne...correct." He emphasized the end to remind me that once a pact is made it cannot be taken back unless both parties agree.

A pact is formed through the exchange of blood, this madman decided to force his daughter to make the pact with me in order to receive his blessing to ascend the throne. I hate that I even made such a frivolous pact with that snobbish woman. She became the vain in my existence long ago, I'd rather drink mercury than allow my life to be bound to her. "How could I ever forget that I am to be wedded to the woman of fury, and the woman in love with my best friend...my lord." I seethed. He let out an exasperated sigh, before standing up. His presence today was meant to be a warning, I can tell by his attire.

He wore his crowned outfit, a white and yellow suit tailored by imperial semesters; the vest on the inside was white and embellished with all of his accomplishments. Each medal was a reminder of the stance he has in society. His red hair reminded me of that vile woman, he had it combed back with the top curving to fit his face. He was the picture of refinement, but his personality was the embodiment of wrath. "When are you hosting the ball to inform everyone of your future wedding?" He asked with a demanding tone. Patience was definitely not one of his virtues, that's why he has always been known as the Glacier, living within the snow but a personality that rivaled fire.

"The upcoming ball will commence in a month. Maybe then your precious daughter will be over her little crush." I smirked before taking a seat. Harrison poured me a cup of hot blood to ease my stress. I waited for Verlin's response, but instead he stormed out with nothing more to say. During the last war, he was my commander, that's why I'm able to make such passive remarks without retaliating. He always respected my abilities, and was the first person to encourage me to pursue the crown. If I would've known this would be my repayment, I would've rejected him immediately.

He encouraged the marriage between his daughter and I after I was next to receive the crown. Once the fall of my Brother Zenith was ensured, Captain Verlin came to me and spoke about my talents and how I could lead the kingdom to victory. Back then I was embraced with his warmth and affection, how foolish I was to believe such a calculated man. It was the first time I've ever felt such parental affection from anyone outside of Harrison, I knew at that point I'd do anything to receive his praise again. That was until that day, he sent me a letter. The letter was an invitation to his kingdom, I have always wanted to visit him so it was an easy answer for me.

By carriage it took eight days to get there, I decided to bring gifts for everyone since I'm rarely invited to go anywhere outside the kingdom. I even bought Essence a gift to show my appreciation. Yet, it was all in vain beforeI could receive a proper greeting and he summoned me to the conference room. He showed me a contract, listing how he would help me get the crown, with the stipulation that I marry his daughter. He forgot to mention that before I would receive the crown I must be wedded, which is why I am still addressed as Princess rather than Majesty.

For now, the kingdom is ran by the imperial elders that I appointed after my family's passing. Once he showed me the contract my stomach turned, and I felt disgusted for accepting his favor. I was nothing more than a pawn for him to gain more power, when I came to this revelation my attitude towards him became cold and condescending. He brought his daughter into the room, she was silent but just from a glance I could tell our hatred was mutual. A chalice was brought and we both cut ourselves with the same blade. Count Verlin recited the incantation for the pact sealing our fates to forever be intertwined.
