Chapter 100 - 100: The expose

Adrian's POV

The pack was alive, its members gathered in the square, clamouring, screaming, shouting and demanding.

It was the first time I had ever seen them all this way. The first time I'd seen them together, united under a single mission, one voice and font.

I had anticipated this day would come. But not like this.

I had long expected the day they would refuse to follow my father's words, but never that it would happen today.

I had expected the day they would revolt because it was long overdue. But not for this reason they were.

For years, he had bled them dry, making them work themselves ragged in the pack, in his company, on the farmlands he claimed belonged to the pack, yet paying them meagre sums. He had always justified it as long as they can eat, they are safe. That was his belief.
