Chapter 7 - Team Rocket

Ryn began throwing the frisbee which was soon hit by an Ember from Charmander.

However, the frisbee continued to fly and eventually landed on the ground.

Ryn said nothing and threw the second frisbee.

The second frisbee was also hit by Charmander, and like the first one, it landed on the ground.

Ryn did not throw the third one: Charmander's focus and accuracy were indeed decent.

It was time to move on to the next training step.

Ryn signaled to Meowscarada to retrieve the two frisbees.

Meowscarada flickered and, in the blink of an eye, was back beside Ryn.

When she reappeared, Meowscarada had two frisbees in her claws.

Seeing Meowscarada's agility, Charmander's eyes were filled with envy.

She also wanted to become as powerful as Meowscarada.

"Good job, Meowscarada," Ryn said, then checked the condition of the frisbees. The points where Charmander's Ember had hit were not in the same place.

"Charmander, next, I will mark a point on this frisbee, and you need to make your Ember hit that point, okay?"

"Char char."

Charmander nodded.

"Alright," Ryn nodded slightly, then took out a marker pen from his waist pouch and began drawing a spot the size of a baby's fist on the frisbee.

You have to take things one step at a time. If you start with something too difficult, Charmander might not learn anything, and instead, her confidence would be completely shattered.

Therefore, Ryn's requirements were not high. As long as Charmander could ensure an 80% accuracy rate in hitting the spot, today's accuracy training could end, and they could move on to the next exercise focusing on both arms.

Once Charmander evolved into Charizard, techniques like Seismic Toss and Dragon Claw would require arm strength.

With superior arm strength, she could gain a significant advantage.

"Charmander, here comes the frisbee!"

Saying this, Ryn threw a frisbee.

Charmander focused intently on the frisbee Ryn had thrown, seizing the right moment to release the Ember gathered in her mouth.

It hit the frisbee precisely.

The second, third, fourth, fifth…

After Ryn threw all twenty frisbees in one round, Charmander's Ember hit the target with high accuracy, without a single miss.

Moreover, the hits were all in the same spot.

Seeing Charmander's precise hits, Ryn nodded silently and asked: "Very good, Charmander. Next, I'll try to increase the speed of the frisbee throws slightly. Can you handle it?"

"Char char!"

In the next round, Ryn's frisbee-throwing speed was noticeably faster.

As soon as Charmander hit one frisbee, the next one followed closely behind.

After twenty frisbees in this round, Charmander's hit rate dropped slightly.

However, she still maintained an 80% hit rate.

After two rounds, Charmander was also a bit out of breath. Pokémon also consume stamina when using moves and can feel tired.

On the battlefield, one must also pay attention to this point. Once a Pokémon feels tired, it becomes completely passive and is highly likely to be defeated.

On the other side, Meowscarada was training on her own.

She used her simplest move, Leafage, flicking ordinary leaves from her claws.

The flying leaves struck special glass panels which Meowscarada had thrown into the air: these panels, inspired by the Reflect move, were designed to block Pokémon attacks.

The leaves hit the glass with a loud thud, like bullets.

From Ryn and Charmander's perspective, the glass trembled violently after each hit from Meowscarada's leaves.

It seemed as though the panels might shatter at any moment.

Some leaves bounced off one panel and bounce toward another nearby glass panel.

Meowscarada's Leafage attack didn't stop: she launched more leaves, which bounced rapidly between the falling panels at a speed too fast to follow.

As the glass panels fell around Meowscarada, the bounce leaves turned toward her, striking at her body.

Meowscarada stayed calm: when the bullet-like leaves approached, she used Quick Attack to dodge them.

Her figure blurred into an afterimage, swiftly avoiding each leaf.

Quick Attack wasn't just for escaping the panels' range: it was a precise, controlled technique.

Each dodge required a separate use of Quick Attack, timed perfectly.

Her movements were so exact that she seemed to strike elegant poses, leaving Charmander's eyes sparkling with awe.

After dodging all the leaves, they collided with each other in mid-air.

The collision caused an explosion, like a fragmentation grenade, sending out splash damage.

Meowscarada raised both hands, centered on herself, and triggered her signature move, Flower Trick: flower bombs around her body burst, releasing a circle of pink petals that fell like snow.

These petals blocked the splash damage from the exploding leaves, acting as a defensive shield.

After completing this display, Meowscarada gave Ryn a flirtatious glance, closed her right eye, and acted cute.

Meowscarada's level was already quite high, at 60.

This was mainly because, over the past five years, Meowscarada hadn't engaged in any proper battles, so five years of accumulation only resulted in a level of 60.

Of course, this was how Ryn thought.

In reality, some trainers might not even have a Pokémon at level 60 after ten years.

After all, there aren't many trainers who are both breeders and trainers.

Moreover, Ryn's breeding methods could transform Meowscarada into a leader Pokémon. Thinking about it this way, it wasn't so strange that even after five years without participating in a Pokémon battle, she could still reach level 60.

Not to mention that the children who were the same age as Ryn were still spending their days playing with their Pokémon.

Only Ryn was spending his days training with Meowscarada.

During the training process, Pokémon don't gain much experience. What truly helps Pokémon grow stronger for Ryn is the energy blocks he creates himself.

After training for a day at the training ground, Ryn heard the commotion outside.

It seemed that Team Rocket and Ash had already made their appearance.

"Charmander, Meowscarada, come on, let's go out and gain some experience!"

Team Rocket, the experience-granting big babies everyone who has used them says they're great!
