Chapter nine
The next morning...
"Mother, how? The doctors told me that i was going to lose you," Damien said emotionally as he tenderly held her mother's hand.
"You are the only person that i am left with," he continued as he was crying.
"Now now, my sweet boy. Your mother still has a long way to go till her death," Daniella, Damien's mother said as she was patting her son's head.
"We should be grateful to the girl who gave me the cure," Daniella said.
Damien wiped his tears cutely then turned towards his assistant.
"Anything?" Damien asked him.
The assistant sighed then gave Damien the tablet that he was holding. The words that appeared on the tablet were threatening words.
'DO NOT LOOK FOR INFORMATION ABOUT THIS PERSON OR ELSE IT WILL BE YOUR DEATH'
Damien also sighed then gritted her teeth.
"What is it my dear?"
"The girl is from a powerful background! I am threatened not to look into her. Sorry mother,"
"No, it is ok. I have hope that we will meet one day," Daniella said then smiled sweetly.
.......
Rylene was in a limousine on her way home. A system window popped up.

Rylene closed the system window with a smile.
"How i wish i could steal her Larissa," Rylene said then sighed.
Larissa looked at her and rolled her eyes. Rylene looked at Larissa curiously.
"Why are you silent Larissa? What are you crafting in that mind of yours?" Rylene asked her coldly but Larissa shrugged it off.
suddenly, the limo was stopped abruptly. Rylene was thrown forward but she reflexively used her right foot to stop herself by stepping on the table infront of her.
'What the hell?' Rylene thought.
There was another limousine that was blocking the road and it had broken down.
"Lucas? Why did we stop?" Rylene asked the driver.
"Sorry, young miss, there seem to be a problem up ahead. I will go and check," Lucas said but Rylene stopped him.
"No, don't, i will go," Rylene said then stepped out of the limousine. She walked towards the other broken limo.
She found the driver stressed out trying to reach someone on the phone. Rylene slowly approached him.
"Morning," Rylene greeted the driver. The driver reciprocated the greeting.
"So what seems to be the problem here?" Rylene asked the worried driver but he remained silent still confused.
