Chapter 79 Writer's POV
Aria and Lena as usual came uninvited to the king in his throne room, the high ceilings echoing with the weight of his authority but it didn't intrigued them. The king sat sternly on his throne, his expression unyielding as Aria and Lena didn't bowed.
"Your Majesty," Aria began, her voice serious and firm. "We have grave news. Aurora has escaped the ancient prison."
The king's expression darkened further, shadows playing on his face in the dimly lit room. "Escaped? How did this happen?" he demanded, his voice like thunder in the chamber but it didn't bother them.
Lena stepped forward beside Aria. "We investigated the prison, sire. There were unmistakable signs of black magic around it. We couldn't trace who did it. The scent of dark power lingered heavily in the air, like a stain."
The king slammed a fist on the armrest of his throne, the sound echoing sharply in the room. "Black magic? Find out who did this and bring them to me. I want answers."
Aria and Lena exchange glances. They knew the implications of black magic being used in this situation . " It's all your fault Roman" Aria said. "But with Aurora loose... we fear her intentions given her past and her powers. She was cast away for a reason."
The king's face twisted in anger and concern, lines deepening on his forehead. "Find that daughter of mine. I want her contained before she causes havoc. Use all resources needed. I don't want any... accidents."
Aria and Lena exchange glanced again"We are not your slaves, so find her" Lena explained. They knew finding Aurora wouldn't be easy, especially if she has merge with Delilah's spirit. Aurora's twin, Amanda, was already entangled with Onyi – a situation complicated enough without Aurora's interference.
"Make sure to start the search immediately," Lena said, her voice firm and they left .
With Aurora loose and tied to dark powers, tensions in the palace would escalate like a living thing. Onyi and Amanda's situation might get more complicated given Aurora's claim to Onyi as her mate and her hatred toward Amanda. The palace would be on edge, waiting to see what Aurora would do next.
