Chapter 126 - Chapter 126: System, You Don’t Want to Be Looked Down Upon by Other Transmigrators, Do You?

"Only Students Who Survive Ten Minutes Can Join the Glorious Evolution"

Become an initial member of the Enlightenment Society, destined to shine brightly in the wizarding world.

"Oh my God, what a brilliant idea! I can't help but reward my smart little brain with a brush!"

Ethan muttered excitedly.

He stared at the viscous, dark brown mud in the puddle.

His eyes sparkled as if he had found a treasure.

Salazar Slytherin had indeed hidden some good things.

Even after a thousand years, he wouldn't let visitors leave empty-handed.

Ethan waved his wand joyfully.

He packed up the last bit of "mud" in the vast Chamber of Secrets.

After doing all this,

Ethan took one last look at the empty Slytherin Chamber of Secrets.

He closed his left eye.

He raised his hand and snapped his fingers.

A dark portal appeared before him.

Although he hadn't immediately encountered the Basilisk on this trip,

he had obtained a clue to opening Salazar Slytherin's true Chamber of Secrets.

However, he had also acquired an extraordinary pigment.

"I really want to enter the true Chamber of Secrets soon and get the secret treasure of one of the four founders."

"Then, I'll give Tom a taste of an art student's shock and broaden his horizons…"

However, Ethan also knew that

this matter couldn't be rushed.

After all, it had taken Lord Voldemort several years just to open the Chamber of Secrets.

What he needed to do now was to make his club flourish.

He wanted to spread the "Beacon's Principles" and let everyone joyfully pursue the glow together.

"System, put in some effort."

"You don't want to be looked down upon by other transmigrators for being too useless, do you?"

Ethan curled his lips and slowly stepped into the portal.

Ethan would not venture twenty thousand miles underground without preparation.

Return the same way?

That was impossible.

He wasn't a chosen Gryffindor.

He couldn't have a Phoenix to take him through the three hundred and sixty-mile long pipes.

Another portal,

which Ethan had already set up with an eyeball, had opened in Ravenclaw's dormitory.

From the deepest point to the highest point,

one step home.

At the same time,

in Ravenclaw Tower,

in Ethan's dormitory,

Michael, who was sound asleep because Ethan wasn't there, was awakened by a noise.

He opened his eyes in confusion.

Then he saw

a pale face smiling at him from a dark portal.

Ethan: "Good evening."

"Ah ah ah ah!!!"

The young eagles were still very lively tonight.

The next morning,

Ethan, who was lying straight on the bed with his hands clasped, suddenly opened his eyes.

With a flexibility and vitality that didn't match his sleeping posture, he leaped from the soft bed.

He pulled back the bed curtains with a whoosh, squinted his eyes, and comfortably welcomed the morning sun. Well, not really.

Today was another predictably cloudy day.

"Heh, 'The Empire on Which the Sun Never Sets.'"

Ethan muttered mockingly.

As he got out of bed, he thought to himself:

When his painting skills improved, he would definitely paint something like "Weather Forecast" or "Blinding Sun."

He would pierce through these dark clouds.

Although he had gone to bed very late, Ethan wasn't sleepy at all at this moment.

He was at an age full of vitality.

Moreover, with the urging of his goal and surging passion within him,

Ethan felt that sleeping was a waste of time.

After washing up in the private bathroom,

Ethan styled his hair, which had become even curlier after a night's sleep, in front of the mirror.

The mirror reflected a pale-skinned boy with handsome features.

His nose bridge was high and slender, his lips were thin, revealing an unapproachable aura.

Only his cobalt blue eyes shone brightly, containing all the vitality of his face.

Compared to his first year, he had grown a bit more.

Mainly, his height had increased.

"Oh~ you are as noble and dangerous as a Vampire in Byron's writings, my child."

The mirror sighed.

If his roommates Michael or Anthony stood in front of it,

they would only receive harsh criticisms like "Sloppy!" and "Hunchbacked!"

Ethan curled his lips, and his pale face instantly became lively:

"Thank you. I've always been a little self-conscious because I don't look like an octopus."

Mirror: " "

In a moment of silence,

Ethan quickly finished getting ready.

Then he put on a sparkling clean white shirt, a dark blue tie, and a knitted vest embroidered with the Ravenclaw eagle crest.

For his lower body, he pulled up his knee-high socks (which wouldn't roll down or sag, from Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions) and put on neatly pressed black trousers.

He slipped on black leather shoes with golden buckles.

Finally, he draped on the black cloak symbolizing the magic academy.

Ethan's daily attire was complete.

One good thing about being at school was that

you could wear a uniform every day and not have to rack your brain thinking about what to wear.

However, Ethan knew that

some girls—especially older students—would wear their own dresses under their robes.

Luna's dress, for example, was embroidered with cute orange dirigible plums.

It was completed with Ethan during the summer holidays.

When Ethan was about to leave, it was only six o'clock.

Inside Hogwarts, besides the students facing their OWLs,

there wasn't anyone else.

It was quiet, like a sleeping Giant.

Today's first class was Defense Against the Dark Arts.

It seemed Professor Lockhart couldn't teach Gryffindor and Slytherin yesterday due to health reasons.

Who knows what tricks he would pull today…

Ethan thought idly as he stepped into the Great Hall.

Then, he frowned.

He actually saw

a student sprawled in front of his club's poster, picking at something with his hand!

Trying to steal the glow?

Ethan raised his eyebrows high.

The person had his back to him and, being too focused, didn't notice Ethan's arrival.

At this moment,

the Great Hall was empty except for the two of them.

Ethan silently pulled out his wand.

After thinking for a moment, he aimed it at himself and quietly cast a spell.

He opened a portal and appeared directly behind the person.

Wallace, the president of the Gobstones Club, was meticulously and diligently picking at the Enlightenment Society's poster.

He wasn't trying to cause damage; he simply wanted to move it.

At least, he didn't want it blocking his poster.

What?

You ask why he didn't move the Gobstones poster?

That was naturally because all the other spots were taken.

And Wallace didn't have the courage to fight with other club presidents yet.

"Sorry, junior, I have no choice. Your club is so popular, you surely wouldn't mind making some space for me…"

"Hiss! What magic did this thing use? Why can't I pick it off at all? I've used several Finite Incantatems already…"

Just then,

a small hand tapped his back.

A sweet voice rang out:

"Senior, what are you doing?"

Is… is it a junior girl?!

Wallace's radar suddenly activated in his mind.

He quickly turned his head.

And met a blood-red eyeball.

Dark hair was spread over a face, and through a gap in the middle, a complete eyeball was revealed.

It looked as if it had just been dug out of an eye socket and then slapped onto the face.

Seeing Wallace with his mouth agape and eyes wide,

the eyeball even curved, greeting him twice.

Ethan, the Sadako-like junior girl:

"Senior~ Why aren't you talking? Weren't you smiling happily just now?"
