Chapter 4 - Factory...what kind of skills are these?

🟠 chapter 03 :

"This is... beautiful. But it's very tiring.

Honestly, I am satisfied with my life on earth. I don't want to sign an adventure contract or find myself in the middle of a disaster."

Noel laughed softly and said, "Half of the people we summoned were like you."

No one wants to torture themselves for the sake of some obscure legend.

So... you simply bring them back to Earth.

Then he looked at me for a long time and added, "But you're... an exceptional case. You can't be brought back.

Therefore, I must stay with you... and keep an eye on you."

He paused, then said with feigned confidence, "I'll try to manage."

Inside? I was completely lost.

No goal. No plan. Nothing but... a foolish air conditioner that could have ended all this before it even began.

"Well, Takashi-kun... I think it's time you got your skill.

Skill!! At least there's something familiar from the novels.

This gives the story some balance—after the truck air conditioner and the execution council.

Noel pulled out a huge spinning wheel out of nowhere, divided into squares with skill names. Some of them sounded powerful: "Terran Dragon." "Time Hack." Others were... quite strange, like "Communicate with Animals." "Soul Baker," and "Instant Literary Critic."

I thought to myself:

"What would a skill like Communicating with Cats do against a land like Hydeland?!"

Noel smiled and said with a cheerful tinge:

"I understand your confusion, and believe me, this wheel is one of the reasons so many summoners have returned to Earth.

But don't despair, maybe life will smile on you... Come on, spin it!"

I stepped forward, put my hand out,

and called upon all the remaining luck in my body...

The wheel spun... spun... stopped.

Skill name: "Factory."

I froze for a second. Then I said:

- Factory? You mean a factory?!

What... Will I build a factory? Or turn into one?

Noel looked happier than I did:

Ah! Good skill. By the way... I gave it that nice name, right?

I looked at him askance:

What did you call it? "Mechanical Mania"? He laughed, then explained:

The skill is simple: you can craft things.

As long as you have the raw materials... and some experience points... you can build whatever you want.

Weapons? Tools? Traps? Sometimes... robots.

A screen appeared in front of me:

Hello, user. Factory skill activated.

Hmm... Honestly? Not that bad.

I could have gotten something worse... like "Dust Taster" or "Random Run Skill."

I said to myself:

I was hoping for something supernatural... electricity, for example, or the ability to unleash the Kami Hami Ha.

But I guess I'll have to settle.

Noel approached me and said:

It's time to be sent to Nevelira.

A new part of your life begins now... and perhaps even more valuable than the last.

His last words hurt a little... but he wasn't wrong.

Nothing about my old life was special. I lived alone. No friends. No passion. No purpose.

And if I had the chance to go back...

I wouldn't have found this story in the first place.
