Chapter 41 - Arc 2: Chapter 4

A good person?

It was the first time anyone had called Fu Cheng a good person. Ever since he was young, people only praised his intelligence, his studies, or his appearance, but this was the first time someone praised him for being good. A good person?

Of course not. Fu Cheng had never been good.

His heart was always surging with evil thoughts and his vengeful intentions were always lurking underneath the surface. His abandonment and anger finally made these thoughts break through the surface, but ordinary revenge was too uninteresting for him, he wanted to use everyone around him, to fool everyone around him!

Fu Cheng smiled gently at the teenager. His elegant and dazzling appearance covered his evil, distorted essence.

Since Lin Yuan thought that he was a good person, then Lin Yuan should fully experience the things that this good person gave him.

"En, I'm a good person. You can't waste what I gave you." Fu Cheng said lightly. He deliberately emphasized the words 'good person', but he hid his sarcasm.

Lin Yuan felt that Fu Cheng was talking weirdly, but he was still dizzy from thinking of how he was going to do his task over summer break and didn't think more of it: "En, I will definitely drink it all."

Fu Cheng lowered his long eyelashes, and they fluttered across his jade-like skin. He looked like an exquisite doll that tempted and attracted people.

"But..." Fu Cheng glanced at Lin Yuan and squeezed his thin lips together as if he wanted to speak but didn't.

Lin Yuan blinked in confusion: "But what?"

Fu Cheng's voice was gentle: "I heard from our classmates that your family is rich. This milk tea is very cheap, you probably won't like it. Actually, let's just throw it away, don't force yourself to drink it."

Lin Yuan couldn't see through Fu Cheng's retreat to advance tactic, let alone see through Fu Cheng's green tea appearance. He shook his head and said seriously: "I won't throw them away. I promise I'll drink them all."

Fu Cheng continued his green tea act: "You don't have to coax me, I understand."

Lin Yuan was puzzled, when did he coax Fu Cheng? He was telling the truth. But he still said softly: "Really, if you don't believe me you can watch me drink."

Fu Cheng nodded.

Close to Ning City No.1 High School was Ning City Park. Students often wandered around in the park when there was nothing to do.

Now that it was June, it was very hot outside so people mostly came to the park in the evening. Under the bright, sunny sky, coming to the park was not fun. Fu Cheng led Lin Yuan here intentionally.

Underneath the pavilion was a little cooler. The leaves of the trees at the side swayed with a light breeze, and faded green shadows danced across the ground.

The sun shone brightly.

Lin Yuan and Fu Cheng sat face to face at a stone table, with the ten cups of milk tea placed in between them, like copy paste.

Lin Yuan paused when he took out the plastic straw and looked at Fu Cheng and asked: "Do you want to drink one?"

He had ten cups of milk tea but Fu Cheng didn't even have one. He didn't mind sharing a cup with Fu Cheng. Sharing was a virtue.

Fu Cheng reaffirmed that this fellow classmate Lin Yuan was a little fool. On a 34 degree Celsius summer day, who would want to drink this sweet and greasy milk tea, moreover, he purposefully ordered hot drinks.

He refused with a smile: "No, these are a reward for you. It's all yours. You drink ba."

Lin Yuan made a sound of understanding and happily started drinking milk tea. The weather was hot, and the milk tea was also hot, so drinking made him feel even hotter, but it was still sweet and delicious.

Fu Cheng rested his head on his hands and looked at the teenager in front of him to pass the time. He ordered tapioca pearls in the milk tea, so after Lin Yuan took a sip of milk tea, he also sucked in some pearls and began to chew them like an eager chipmunk.

Lin Yuan leisurely drank three cups of milk tea and felt full. He looked at the remaining seven cups on the table and scratched his hair in distress. He really couldn't drink anymore, what to do?

Lin Yuan looked at Fu Cheng, and asked for mercy in a soft voice: "Brother Fu, I'm full. Can I bring them back home? I promise I'll drink it all, okay?"

Fu Cheng smiled lightly: "Ok, but it's so hot now, the milk tea will go bad after a day. You have to finish them today. Why don't you just throw them out? The trash can is behind you."

Lin Yuan's family background made him unable to really bully him, so he only teased him for fun. Drinking three cups of hot milk tea in this weather shouldn't be comfortable.

Fu Cheng: "But since I said I can only teach you over the summer if you finish the milk tea, if you can't finish it, forget it."

Lin Yuan remembered and nodded: "I know. I'll go home and drink the rest, then you can still teach me right?"

Fu Cheng's magnetic voice lowered with a hint of gentleness: "But if you go home, even if you toss the rest of the milk tea, I wouldn't know. What if you lie to me?"

Lin Yuan thought a little bit and said: "Then we can video call and you can watch me drink."

Lin Yuan unconsciously looked left and right before sneakily taking out his phone and looking at Fu Cheng with a smile: "Let's add each other's WeChat."

Fu Cheng stared at the handsome teenager in front of him. The young man's bright and clear eyes were slightly curved, and they were so sunny no shadows could be seen in them. The other's eyes seemed to reflect his own darkness and evil.

At this moment, a strange feeling arose in Fu Cheng's heart. He instinctively felt that he shouldn't establish a connection between them, because even the thickest of night could not stand the rays of dawn.

Fu Cheng didn't know what was wrong with himself. Obviously, he had a premonition of danger, but he still took out his phone and created a connection to the teenager in front of him.

Lin Yuan usually lived in an apartment next to the school because the original owner liked to sleep in and nobody supervised him when he was not in the Lin house. But now that it was summer vacation, it was time to go back to the Lin house.

Lin Yue didn't go to the company today. He wanted to see his little brother, who he heard was studying seriously. However, in such a short period of time, it's unlikely that Lin Yuan would score much better. Lin Yue wanted to be home to coax him in case he was sad about his grades.

Then Lin Yue saw Lin Yuan skipping back with an armful of milk tea.

Lin Yue: "?"

Lin Yuan paused when he saw the person and remembered that the original owner's brother, Lin Yue, loved him very much. He then devoted himself into playing the role of a younger brother.

"Brother~" Lin Yuan ran over happily.

Lin Yue looked at Lin Yuan, who didn't show a trace of sadness, and asked: "Why are you so happy? Did something good happen?"

Lin Yuan nodded and raised to show Lin Yue all of his milk tea and said chirpily: "Brother, look. These are all rewards for me. Originally there were ten cups, and I already drank three."

Lin Yue looked at the milk tea and then looked at Lin Yuan and smiled: "Why did other people reward you? Did you do well on the exam?"

He could only think of this reason.

Lin Yuan nodded more vigorously and his round eyes curved. His eyes shone and his invisible tail was about to rise to the sky: "I got second place in the class. Also, I'm the student who made the most progress, so I got 500 yuan of scholarship money!"

The head teacher praised him and Fu Cheng rewarded him. He had to study harder and maybe he could get ten cups of milk tea as a reward next time too.

Lin Yue was clear about the identities of Lin Yuan's classmates. Except for the top student from Class 1 who transferred in, the other students, including his little brother, were all half hearted with their studying. One probably didn't need to get a lot of points to get second place.

But his little brother was studying hard now, and he had to praise: "Ah Yuan is awesome. You took second place after only taking make-up classes for a month. Other people gave you milk tea, what do you want your brother to reward you?"

Lin Yuan didn't really want anything except for lowering Fu Cheng's blackening value, but Lin Yue couldn't help with that: "I don't want anything."

After saying that, Lin Yuan went upstairs with his milk tea: "Brother, I'll go back to my room first."

In his room, Lin Yuan went to the bathroom to empty his bladder and open up more room in his stomach. Now, Lin Yuan felt as if he could drink another cup and immediately made a video request to Fu Cheng.

Fu Cheng also lived next to No.1 High School, but his environment was the complete opposite to Lin Yuan's exquisitely decorated apartment.

He lived in a run-down community. Because of the recent renovation, it looked good and elegant on the outside, but on the inside, it was covered in shadows, dust, and garbage. A group of old people lived here.

When he received Lin Yuan's video call, Fu Cheng was smoking in front of the window. Outside was a pretentious residential building, which covered the sky and blocked his line of sight.

The cigarette burned slowly, and white smoke spread around his slender fingers.

When the ringtone sounded, Fu Cheng took out his phone and saw that it was the little fool.

The little fool came to entertain him.

After connecting, Fu Cheng saw a bright Lin Yuan in an equally bright room.

Lin Yuan waved to him: "Brother Fu, I can drink another cup now. I'll show you."

Fu Cheng casually flicked the ashes off his hand and his eyes were cold and impatient, but the screen blurred his sharpness: "You drink it."

Lin Yuan drank obediently. When he was done, he said: "I'll call you again later."

Throughout the day, whenever Lin Yuan felt that he could drink a cup, he would call Fu Cheng. At about ten o'clock at night, Lin Yuan finished all of the milk tea and smiled at the teenager on the screen: "Brother Fu, I finished. You have to teach me over the summer ah."

Fu Cheng has never been entangled with such a bright and simple person. The malice in his heart surged and it wanted him to hurt the teeneager in front of him.

"No. I lied to you. Also the milk tea wasn't a reward, it was to trick you."
