"It was a wonderful story, wasn't it?"
The last trace of hope vanished from my eye, hot tears rolling down my cheeks, red spilling from my torso and mouth.
It wasn't justice. Just cruelty with a prettier name.
It didn't feel fair. None of it. All I trusted. All I lived through. I thought it would change for the better.
But I guess… villains are destined to die.
Ahh, "what a beautiful end."
My heart pounded. But isn't this what I've always wanted?
My body thumped on the ground. The world faded into silence.
"No."
The darkness took over.
But in the silence, one thought echoed:
"I want to live."
Gasp. Heavy breathing.
I looked around, panic filling my mind.
"Mirror—"
I looked into it.
"No—"
"This can't be—"
Just then, the door flew open.
A tall, familiar figure glared down at me, her voice cold and rough—
"So you're awake."
"Get ready… for your coming-of-age ceremony."
Huh?
