Gu Yuena was led by Blood Seven to the Abyss Passage. The Abyss Passages were classified into S-rank, A-rank, B-rank, and C-rank. Blood Seven took her to the C-rank passage. These passages were relatively narrow, limiting the strength of the Abyssal creatures that could pass through, making them the safest with minimal danger.
When Gu Yuena arrived at the C-rank passage platform, her eyes scanned the surroundings, sensing the soldiers stationed there. She wondered where Bai Xu had been assigned.
Unconsciously, she had begun to rely on Bai Xu.
If Bai Xu were here, he would probably lecture her again, saying that as the Silver Dragon, she shouldn't depend so much on a human. Thinking of this, Gu Yuena shook her head with a faint smile and withdrew her gaze, focusing instead on the depths of the Abyss.
Inside the Abyss Passage, there was a faint, peculiar energy fluctuation, as if the passage itself was a spatial plane rather than solid rock or soil. This was likely why the Abyss Plane couldn't forcibly connect to other locations.
It was as if the Abyss Plane had pierced through space with a tube, stabbing into the Douluo Continent world. Only by following this tube could the Abyssal creatures crawl through. Now that the main passage had been sealed, they could only search for branches to infiltrate and attempt to reopen the main passage.
Gu Yuena had already advanced about seven or eight kilometers. Here, she could occasionally spot a few Abyssal creatures. One resembled a lizard, its body a dull gray-black covered in hook-like spikes. It was likely a stealthy Abyssal creature known as a Life-Devourer Lizard, which fed on the life energy of other beings.
Without hesitation, the Silver Dragon Spear appeared in her hand. With a sweeping motion, she impaled the lizard's head. As the spear pierced through, wisps of gray mist were drawn from the creature's body. Instead of dissipating, the mist was absorbed by the Silver Dragon Spear, flowing through it and into Gu Yuena, transforming into pure energy to nourish her.
Blood Seven was astonished. "It really works..."
Meanwhile, in the Blood God Camp's command center, the Blood Gods and Tang Wulin were watching Gu Yuena's battle on the large screen, their faces filled with joy. They looked at Tang Wulin and Gu Yuena with relief—it seemed the heavens had not abandoned Douluo Continent!
To think that in this era, two individuals capable of weakening the Abyss Plane had appeared!
Blood One spoke up, "Good. From now on, Gu Yuena will also be an external member of the Blood God Camp. Wulin, you and Gu Yuena will serve as auxiliary combatants, gradually weakening the Abyss on the battlefield. The Blood God Legion will prioritize your safety. Once the Abyss becomes aware of your abilities, they will undoubtedly send stronger forces to eliminate you."

Abyss Passage.
Gu Yuena observed the gray mist absorbed by the Silver Dragon Spear. Though weak, it was better than nothing. Judging by Blood Seven's reaction, the results were satisfactory.
"If that's the case, then let's kill!"
Her battle armor unfolded, and silver dragon wings spread wide as she charged into the swarm of Life-Devourer Lizards, unleashing devastation. It was as if she was venting her emotions, with elemental explosions erupting around her, sending tremors through the C-rank Abyss Passage.
Blood Seven stood guard nearby, vigilant against any surprise attacks like the one Tang Wulin had suffered. Watching Gu Yuena's overwhelming display of power, he couldn't help but remark, "...Her strength seems to surpass even Tang Wulin's."
---
Late at Night.
A communication request reached Bai Xu.
"What's the matter?" Bai Xu asked, emerging from meditation.
Gu Yuena's voice came through. "Where are you stationed?"
"Want to come find me?"
"Yes."
"Forget it. It's better if you don't know."
"Why?"
"You're getting too deeply involved. How are you going to scheme against me like this? At this rate, I wouldn't be surprised if you ended up locking me in a secret room. I can't judge the people here by normal standards," Bai Xu joked.
"Is it bad that I'm so involved with you?"
"Not necessarily. I just hope you can maintain some rationality. Sometimes, rational madness is far more impressive," Bai Xu said meaningfully.
Gu Yuena snorted lightly. "I wasn't planning to get anything out of you anyway. I saw Tang Wulin today."
"Why bring him up?" Bai Xu sounded surprised.
"Don't you want to know how things stand between us now?"
"I trust you."
"I know. By the way, that day you mentioned a self-created soul technique targeting the spirit soul—were you planning to use it to erase the mental imprint Tang San left in my mind?" Gu Yuena changed the subject.
"Yes, but it's difficult. It'll take some time."
Gu Yuena fell silent for a moment before sighing. "You keep telling me not to hold back against you, yet you treat me with nothing but sincerity, helping me at every critical moment. How could I ever raise a hand against you?"
Bai Xu chuckled. "Should I start acting cold to make it easier for you? According to the script, winning your heart and then abandoning you would make you hate me more."
"You're welcome to try," Gu Yuena replied, her tone unreadable.
"Haha, tragic love stories are out of fashion. There's no need for us to follow that bitter, vengeful trope. As for dying together—that's a Douluo tradition, but not mine."
Then, a voice echoed in his mind: "What we have can't simply be described as a romantic relationship. It's intertwined with too many irreplaceable things—our respective stances, responsibilities, even the enlightenment you've brought to my life. Sometimes, it feels like you're my life mentor."
"Please don't call me a teacher. That's how 'disciples rebelling against their masters' tropes start," Bai Xu said in mock horror.
"Rebelling against masters? Disciples?" Gu Yuena sounded confused.
Suddenly, Bai Xu sighed. "The main body is about to return. Should we tell him?"
"Main body? You're a clone!?"
"Don't misunderstand. I mean what the main body means."
Gu Yuena realized something. "Your main body went into the Abyss?"
"Obviously. Why else would I be stationed at the Abyss Passage?"
---
Meanwhile.
Bai Xu's main body moved invisibly through the Abyss Passage, advancing deeper until he was beyond the Blood God Legion's surveillance range. Only then did he reveal himself. The passage he guarded was C-rank—while no powerful creatures emerged here, the number of low-level Abyssal beings was the highest.
Swarms of Life-Devourer Lizards, Baran units, and lesser demonic dragons appeared before him.
The Five Elements Banner spread out, sealing the space. Then, the slaughter began.
Holding a massive cauldron, Bai Xu crushed countless Abyssal creatures. The strongest among them were only around Soul Sage level, numbering in the hundreds. But against Bai Xu, numbers meant nothing.
"Wood Element."
At his command, towering wooden constructs erupted from the ground, binding the Abyssal creatures as he attempted to extract their life energy.
"It's not working... I'll need to analyze the gray energy they release upon death first." Bai Xu watched as the gray energy from the slain creatures tried to drift back into the Abyss, but the formation blocked its escape.
He leaped forward, landing before the lingering energy. The Five Elements revolved in his palm as he reached out, closing his eyes to comprehend it through elemental laws.
The process was simpler than expected. The Abyss Plane was merely a fragment separated from the Crimson Plane within the Douluo universe—it couldn't escape the Five Elements. Its only advantage was its higher plane rank compared to Douluo Continent, which was why its energy was impervious to ordinary methods. But against higher-tier devouring abilities like the Golden Dragon Spear and Silver Dragon Spear, it was vulnerable.
"Seal!"
The Five Elements formation shrank. Bai Xu didn't linger, restraining the energy within the formation before withdrawing.

Back in the Room.
"With the Spirit of the Plane masking my presence, soul technology can't detect the main body. My being here is just an extra precaution to avoid suspicion," the clone explained.
"How did it go?"
"Smoothly. I've captured some energy. Once I fully analyze it, I should be able to absorb Abyssal energy directly."
Gu Yuena smiled. "Congratulations in advance then, Teacher Bai Xu. Talking with you every day feels... nice."
Bai Xu: "..."
Was she role-playing as his student now?
