Chapter 3 - Chapter 3

Konoha Hospital

Konoha Hospital was personally established by Hashirama Senju after the founding of the Hidden Leaf Village.

Back in the Warring States Period, the constant battles between clans meant that injured shinobi rarely received proper treatment. The lack of medical resources led to the deaths of many who might otherwise have survived.

To prevent this tragic pattern from repeating, Hashirama made it a priority to build a hospital — an autonomous facility, separate from the rest of the military infrastructure.

However, due to the ongoing conflict and the underdeveloped state of medical technology, the hospital was understaffed, and many illnesses remained untreatable. There was another reason, too: most shinobi at the time focused on mastering high-intensity combat techniques. Medical ninjutsu was seen as less important, even inferior — a mindset that discouraged many from learning it.

After Hoshikawa Haru suddenly lost consciousness, he was rushed to the hospital for emergency care.

Because he was the son of an elite jōnin, the hospital took his case very seriously. The director personally oversaw his treatment, and he was given his own private room — a privilege rarely extended to others. It was a benefit of being Hoshikawa Yota's son; ordinary patients could never expect such treatment.

After the director finished her examination, the diagnosis came back: Haru had fallen into a coma due to extreme physical exhaustion.

Yota breathed a sigh of relief. He'd feared it was a bloodline-related illness. If that had been the case, it wouldn't have come on so suddenly or ended so simply.

A Day Later

Hoshikawa Haru's eyelids fluttered, and he slowly opened his eyes, blinking in confusion.

He had passed out abruptly, with no warning. His last memory was from the previous day.

"…Is this a hospital?"

Looking around the room confirmed his suspicion. He had been here once before, during a bout of illness.

He furrowed his brow and tried to recall what had happened. Gradually, the events began to return to him.

"That blue light… what was it? And why did I suddenly collapse?"

A chilling thought struck him.

"Could it have been… a bloodline disease?"

The more Haru thought about it, the wilder his speculation became — until even he couldn't help but chuckle at himself.

"No way. Bloodline diseases don't act that fast."

He tried applying modern logic to explain the mysterious phenomenon, but came up empty.

"Whatever. Let's check the body—wait… huh?"

Haru suddenly froze, feeling something strange. His expression twisted in disbelief.

He rubbed his eyes hard, thinking he must be hallucinating.

"What the hell!? Why is my chakra level so high!?"

His muttered curse echoed in the quiet hospital room. It was just too bizarre.

The chakra that had been as thin as a thread yesterday had suddenly swelled — now flowing like a stream.

Hoshikawa Haru estimated that he was now at least at the level of an elite Chūnin.

Shock gave way to joy.

"This... this is a cheat. I really have a cheat! Becoming a top-tier ninja might actually be within reach!"

But then he caught himself.

"Okay, calm down. Don't get too cocky. That's how the gods humble you."

Still, he couldn't suppress the silly grin spreading across his face.

That's when the hospital room door creaked open.

"Haru! You're awake!"

The voice was filled with relief and affection — it was his mother, Sakura Kinomoto.

"I'm fine, Mom," Haru said, quickly trying to collect himself, putting on a calm front.

Sakura rushed over and scooped him into a crushing hug, ruffling his hair and nearly knocking the breath out of him.

Haru was honestly more overwhelmed by her affection than he had been by his sudden chakra spike.

After several minutes of doting, Sakura finally pulled back to study him carefully.

Her expression shifted to one of concern.

"Haru... what's going on with your eyes?"

Haru blinked. "My eyes?"

They felt normal. What could she be talking about?

He grabbed the mirror sitting beside the bed and stared into it.

His reflection still looked like himself — he had inherited his father's sharp features and dark eyes.

Only… his eyes weren't dark anymore.

They were a deep, clear blue — as bright and transparent as the sky on a clear morning. Looking into them was like gazing into a vast, star-filled void.

He gaped. Just looking at them made his thoughts slow down, his mind caught in their mesmerizing depth.

These eyes weren't ordinary. They radiated power — immense, quiet, ancient power.

"…It must be… the bloodline limit awakening," Haru murmured, coming up with the most reasonable excuse. The timing matched perfectly.

Sakura nodded, not doubting him at all.

Instead of concern, she smiled with admiration and awe.

"What beautiful eyes," she whispered, running a gentle hand along his cheek."Like two sapphires. So bright and powerful."

As a former special jōnin, Sakura Kinomoto understood better than most just how rare a bloodline limit was — especially one with visual signs like this.

"He really is my son," she thought proudly.

"Where's Dad?" Haru asked, glancing toward the door.

"He was summoned by the Hokage," Sakura replied. "It's probably related to what happened to you."

The moment she said that, a towering figure came to Haru's mind.

Hashirama Senju — the First Hokage of Konoha.

A man revered as the God of Shinobi.

Only Uchiha Madara had ever rivaled his strength.

In his past life, Haru had admired Hashirama deeply — not just for his power, but for his idealism and his pursuit of peace.

Together with Madara, he had ended the Warring States Period and founded the Hidden Leaf Village.

That peace, fragile though it was, had changed the course of history.

"War sounds simple when it's just a word… but when you live through it, you understand how priceless peace really is," Haru thought, reflecting on the suffering he'd witnessed in his previous life.

Meanwhile, at the Hokage Building

Hoshikawa Yota stood before Hashirama Senju, answering the Hokage's summons.

In this newly founded Konoha, bloodline limits were still rare and highly valued.

The Konoha of the future would be full of internal power struggles and secret agendas, but for now, it was alive with hope — young, fresh, and full of possibilities.

"Yota, you've got a fine son," Hashirama said with a wide, genuine smile. He wore his Hokage robes, but spoke with the casual warmth of an old friend.

Standing beside him was Tobirama Senju, his younger brother — the future Second Hokage.

Though not yet the stoic, militarized leader he would become, Tobirama already radiated discipline and intelligence.

"Thank you for the kind words, Lord Hokage," Yota replied with a deep bow, visibly honored.

Hashirama was a living legend. For most shinobi, meeting him was a dream — let alone receiving praise.

"Ayako has already filled me in," Hashirama continued. "It looks like your son's sudden awakening overloaded his body. Nothing to worry about."

Ayako — the hospital director — was a skilled medical-nin and a member of the Senju clan.

Her confirmation put Yota's heart at ease.

"Thank you for your concern, Lord Hokage," he said, bowing again.

And in that moment, both men knew: a new force had awakened in Konoha — and the future was about to change.
