Zayden carried Ren to the bed, cradling his naked body carefully in his arms.


The omega was already kissing his neck, then drifting lower, pressing his lips to Zayden's chest as his fingers fumbled with the buttons of his shirt.


"W-Wait," Zayden tried to stop him, but Ren didn't listen.


With a sharp inhale, Zayden finally laid the omega down on the bed. Then—without warning—he pulled away, stepping back until he was no longer touching him.


"Where are you going?" Ren asked, frowning.


"You are not in your right mind, Ren," Zayden said carefully. "I don't want to do something you don't actually want—"


Ren's expression darkened instantly. He pushed himself upright on the bed, eyes blazing as he stared at the alpha.


"What do you mean I am not in my right mind?"


Zayden forced a small smile. This was exactly what he meant. Ren wasn't acting like himself. The heat had dulled his usual restraint, clouded his judgment.
