Scene: Pete's Mansion – Private Study
The heavy silence between Pete and his father had lasted years, even in the same house. But now, with everything burned down and exposed, there was nowhere left to hide.
Pete sat across from his father, arms folded, fire in his eyes.
> "You destroyed her life," he said. "And you used me. All for what? Business deals? Reputation?"
Mr. Thanapat looked… older. Weary. The powerful man who once ruled boardrooms now trembled like a man who lost everything he never truly owned.
> "I didn't want to ruin her family," he said slowly. "I just… I wanted to protect ours."
Pete slammed his fist on the table.
> "You call this protection? You broke people, Dad. You broke me."
But then his father did something unexpected.
He stood. Walked over.
And bowed his head.
> "I was wrong. I was scared. And I let my fear become cruelty. I'm sorry for what I did to Rose. To you. To everyone."
Pete's breath hitched. No mafia glare. No tough guy façade. Just a son… and a father, breaking down together.
> "I forgive you," Pete whispered. "But you have to make things right now. Not for me. For them."

Scene: Public Press Conference
Mr. Thanapat stepped up to the mic — his first public appearance since the scandal.
> "To the Wicharn family… and to Rose… I apologize. I was part of the system that failed you."
He resigned from his company, surrendered a large portion of his assets to a foundation Rose created in her family's name, and vowed to step away from politics forever.

Scene: Pete & His Father – Later That Night
They sat together under the stars in the garden. Sharing a drink. For once, in peace.
> "You love Mek?" his dad asked.
Pete smiled faintly.
> "I'd destroy the world if he asked me to."
His father gave a small laugh. "Good. Then don't let it destroy you first."

Scene: Rose Watching on TV
She turned off the screen after watching the apology. Her expression unreadable.
> "It's a start," she muttered. "But I'm not done yet."
