Chapter 397 - Dimensional Space Changes

After leaving the moon, Liam reappeared in the Dimensional Space and deactivated his exosuit. The black material flowed back into storage, leaving him in his casual clothes. He was curious to see how much progress had been made in the terraforming of what had once been a completely barren world.

The first thing Liam did was look up at the sky.

His eyes widened slightly in surprise. The monotone colored sky that had existed before—that unchanging, flat expanse that had always felt artificial—was gone. In its place stretched absolute darkness.

It looked like the void itself.

Liam understood immediately what he was seeing. The Dimensional Space was now connected to the Grand Universe. The blackness spreading across the sky wasn't an absence of light or some atmospheric phenomenon.

It was literally the void of the Grand Universe, visible through whatever dimensional barrier had once separated this pocket dimension from the greater cosmos.
