Chapter 8 - CHAPTER 8: CITY DIFFERENT SEASONS

CHAPTER 8: CITY DIFFERENT SEASONS

Near a mountain, a young man with a scar on his eye was in the yard protecting the ranch animals.

The young man was tall, and with decent muscles. As he walked back and forth, he suddenly heard a great commotion, which came from the forest next door.

Several birds flew out, while the roar of a bear echoed throughout the place.

"It's, that bear again, Grandma hadn't hired some hunters to kill him" – The young man spoke, as he looked at the forest, waiting to see what his next move was, but even though he waited, there was no movement after that roar.

The young man with great courage moved a little closer to look inside the forest.

When suddenly I look into the distance at a bloodied child's body.

"What happened?" – The young man quickly got out and looked at the boy's body, which was missing much of his forearm.

In addition to the fact that she had several bruises on her body.

He could tell that he was holding a wooden sword, and a dagger.

"How long was this body here?" – said the Young Man, seeing that the dagger and the wooden sword were still in good condition, it was planned to steal them to sell them. Perhaps in this way he could buy his freedom.

"What are you doing, that child is still alive, bring him back" – But just at that moment, an old lady's voice sounded behind the young man.

The young man was frightened when he heard her, immediately nodded to the old woman, and went back up to the ranch.

The old woman hit the young man's head, while these two entered the house.

However, if you could see in the distance, you could notice the body of several people, who had died a long time ago, all had bear claws on their chests, but the most mysterious thing was that even further away, you could see the body of a skinny bear, with several cuts all over its body, and arrows all over his back. The bear was a powerful ferocious animal with a strength comparable to the third level of Qi condensation, but it had died, and it seems that all of its energy was absorbed as well.

The young man laid Adrian's body on a bed, while the old woman whom the young man called grandmother looked at Adrian.

"If he doesn't die within two days, give him these plants, if he dies bury him, if he lives call me" – The old lady gave several orders to the young man next to her, as she left, the young man just nodded, he couldn't escape, he was a slave of grandma.

And although he knew the grandmother, he knew that taking the child was not another option, so that he could be sold, or become a slave like him.

This was his only destiny, he knew that, if he wanted to have his freedom, he could do two things, that was to buy his freedom for more than a thousand coins, or work for grandma until he died, he knew that grandma would sell him when she was older, just to get money for retirement.

But both things were dangerous, several of his injuries were from the missions that the grandmother took for him and he could not refuse, he had a slave contract, which the grandmother could use to kill him at any time.

Thinking about this, I just sigh before going back outside, to continue watching, luckily these months had been calm.

After two days, Adrián was still alive, the young man tried to take away his dagger and sword, but Adrián held them with great tenacity. He also made her eat some plants, before going out again.

After two days, the old woman was called by the young man, the old woman looked at Adrian, who was recovering from his injuries, but at the same time those purple things were all over his body.

Suddenly the old lady took out something, it was a white pill, the old lady felt that this was too much, she didn't know if spending all this on a simple child was good or bad. After all, this pill she had was unique, it had been given to her by her husband, but it really had no use other than healing wounds.

Still, he decided that the pros outweighed the cons.

After all, a slave child cost a large amount of coins.
