Chapter 3 - Teacher?

"Creak"

The pole of the mope started to break bit by bit under the relentless force the door received. After a couple of seconds, splinters started curling on its surface, and then,

"Crack"

 It broke.

Wooden splinters flew in different directions as the mop broke into two pieces. With no resistance emanating from the inside, the door immediately spun open, and a dozen zombies barged into the partially crowded bathroom.

With them also came the stench of rotting meat, piss and excrement.

Most of them only had a few bite marks on the neck and other open areas, except for a few who had their intestines hanging out of their belly, with lost ears, peeled off faces and missing limbs,

"Raaarrr"

Three zombies at the front of the group lunged at the three humans with their mouths wide open.

The two soldiers immediately sprang into action.

Both of them pressed their forearms to the neck of the zombie to stop it. Then they stabbed the zombies' temples at the same time, twisted them and withdrew.

Two zombies fell to the floor with a light thud.

As soon as the soldier on the right side stabbed the second zombie, the third zombie lunged at him from the left side.

The zombie was fast, but the soldier was faster. He punched the zombie with his left hand, and before it could hit the ground, he grabbed it again. Then, with practical ease, he drove the blade through the side of its skull with his left hand.

When the three zombies dropped to the ground, the others were already lunging at the soldiers, and one bite of them could be the end of them and Fredrick.

'Fuck, they can't handle the horde...I have to do something.'

Beads of sweat rolled down Fredrick's face as he opened the system panel by mentally commanding.

He quickly pressed the filter button, and a list of types of items appeared over it. He examined the list for a moment before mentally clicking the "Assault rifles" section.

The thousands of squares were then reduced to a dozen, and all of these squares were different types of assault rifles.

Fredrick's eyes caught another interesting square, and he bought the contents inside.

120 coins decreased from his total amount, and in front of his eyes, a cloud of golden sparks started to manifest.

Through these golden sparks appeared a very commonly used gun in the history of Earth.

An AK-47 quickly manifested in the air before him, and he snatched it as fast as he could.

The gun felt heavy in his hand, but he ignored it and called the soldier who was to his right.

"Hey"

After saying that, he tossed the rifle toward the soldier, and the soldier skillfully caught it by the trigger.

The soldier then bashed the head of the zombie near him. The zombie staggered back and fell to the floor.

Then he pointed the gun barrel toward its head and shot three rounds into its head.

"bang, bang, bang"

After that, he pointed the gun at the advancing horde and pulled the trigger.

"Bang, bang, bang, bang..."

Bullets travelled through the air at high speed while crushing everything in their paths. They pierced the skulls, eyes, and faces while bringing death to every zombie that passed through the entrance.

One by one, the zombies fell from the deadly barrage of bullets, and not long after, a pile of dead bodies started to form beside the entrance.

***

Close to three minutes had passed when the zombies finally stopped appearing from the doorway. White smoke was emanating from the gun barrel while a thick stench of rotten meat permeated the air.

Fredrick stepped forward toward the pile of corpses and stood between the two soldiers. He then looked at the corpses for a moment before looking at the open door.

"These zombies....They are from the eleventh grade."

He took a deep breath and stepped over the pile of bodies and appeared at the other side.

He was inside a sunny corridor.

On the right side of the corridor were two tenth-grade classrooms with their doors tightly shut; on the left side of the corridor was the eleventh-grade classroom with its door ajar.

On the far end of the corridor were the stairs, which were now blocked by numerous desks and chairs.

The two soldiers quickly crossed over the pile of dead bodies and surrounded Fredrick. Then they examined their surroundings for any kind of danger.

After confirming that there was none, they got away from Fredrick's path.

"It seems safe, general."

Fredrick met the gaze of the soldier with the gun for a moment before nodding and walking forward.

He walked through the corridor with the two soldiers following closely behind him like a fat gangster with his subordinates.

All around the corridor were blood and pieces of flesh. There were also a couple of dead bodies on the floor, with only skeletons.

'They probably got eaten by zombies,'

He carefully came close to the eleventh-grade classroom and peeked through the open door to find no one there and very few blood stains compared to the corridor.

He examined the classroom for a moment before seeing something from the corner of his eye. When he saw it, chill ran down his spine.

Both tenth-grade classroom windows were covered by numerous textbook papers, newspapers and notebook papers.

Normally, Fredrick wouldn't be able to see anything through the thick width of the papers, but he could see a pair of eyes staring at him from between them.

The two pairs of eyes were like deep dark water, calm, cold and and creepy.

His heart started beating fast, his skin hair stood on its ends, and he staggered back while mumbling in panic.

"F-Fuck"

The soldier with the gun immediately covered him and pointed the gun at the window.

"Who is there?"

The pair of eyes immediately disappeared from the gaps, and silence followed.

The soldier waited for a moment and asked again, with a tone indicating that it was not a request.

"Who is there? Show yourself, or I will shoot."

"D_DON'T SHOOT"

A mature female voice answered.

Then the classroom door opened, and a very beautiful, mature woman wearing a red blouse and a black skirt walked out with her hands in the air.

"Don't shoot, AR-Are you the army?"

Fredrick looked at the woman who spread an aura of mature beauty in silence.

'Teacher?'
