Chapter 2: Whispers Beneath the Soil

--fast forward 3.5 billion years later--

After the first few billion years, different factions emerged. These factions were the remains of the previous world, made anew.

These factions are about the most powerful on Terra, excluding the Gods and other powerful entities that are not bound by Terra's influence. They make up the majority of the governments of world and often clash with one another; there aren't many of them compared to the lesser factions.

-Faefolk. Magical spirits, fairies, the humans call them, their order/neutral attuned and would get into fights with the more aggressive species since they fight to protect the GREEN. They act like teachers and protectors for lesser species. They view humanity as a grey area; they are split between helping them or just ignoring them entirely. 7rd strongest.

-Void Orks. These are mutated remains of past life forms that take on the appearance of works; they also reside in the in-between, the dark dimension and Hell. They love chaos, but usually keep to themselves. Once in a while, a curious Void Ork would come to the physical world of Terra and become either an adventurer or a nuisance for other factions. 4th strongest among the higher-level factions.

-Starborn Architects. These are crystal robotic-like species that have in-depth knowledge of engineering and energy usage. They answer only to Terra and have no hierarchy in their species, but the longer they exist, the stronger they are. They usually trade with the Elari, and out of all the species on Terra, they can be considered close relationship with the Elari and are somewhat friendly with primitive humans, but they don't find them unique aside from how fast they adapt and evolve. They are the 8th strongest as they don't prioritize combat at all. Most live near the core of Terra, where a hyperdimension lies; others that are tasked out will sometimes wander off. They eventually, through the guidance of Terra, find the way into the physical world of Terra, where they interact with other species.

-Elari. They are the upgraded versions of elves, borderline demigods and are the 2nd most respected faction compared to the others. They usually stand out, they are technologically advanced and are magically gifted and have knowledge about the universe and the makings of it. They are usually arrogant, but they do run some of the most esteemed places and cities in Terra, thus making them a symbol of high standing. They are the 5th strongest species of Terra and are usually in public and easier to find compared to other higher factions.

-Hollowborn. Not much is known about them, but they say their dead spirits of darkness, corrupt remains of what was once life. Gost virus/zombies, they do have intelligence and can be negotiated with, but under heavy favour in their terms. Their the 6th strongest faction.

-Celestial Kin. These are angles. They are prideful but for good reason, as their only rivals are the Dragons and Hell. They tie with Hell and Dragons for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place. It all depends on different factors, of when their rivals are weekend or have home-field advantage.

-Draconic/dragons. No weak dragons but magically and blessed creatures of power, they are massive in their true forms and usually reside in their dimension. They can shape-shift into different forms, they like to interact with other lesser species and diplomacy

-Hell. These are where the nasty reside, devils, demons, and darkness-born creatures want nothing but pure destruction, for the most part at least. Some of them could be negotiated with contracts.

Of course, there are lesser factions, which make up the majority of the populace of the world.

The lesser factions:

-Primitive Humans. Humans who are devolved and impeded by outside forces. They make up the bulk of the inhabitants and usually adapt faster than the others. The reason why their ranked the lowest is because even though they have numbers and good tech for themselves, they aren't born with power, they have to work for it. There is also no limit to their growth aside from outside interference.

-Mutants/sub-race of primitive humans. These are humans who get the short end of the stick, even by their species, in most places where laws that protect their rights exist, but they still get scorned for the mutations they have.

-Beast man tribe. These are close cousins of humans and have animal traits.

-Elves. No need to get deep into this, but they worship Elari as royalty whenever they see one. They are revealed to humans and usually outrank because of their natural talents.

etc.

There are also powerful beings who were remade but born anew in the creation process, Gods whose presence shaped the civilizations of the world. There are hundreds of them, and the factions that they represent are Light/Order, Chaos, and Darkened evil factions.

The factions and different races on Terra were constantly tryna fuck one another either by raids, killing, to scaming them in trades. The primitive humans had it the worst but were the most numerous of the bunch; they had kingdoms spread across the land, but they always seemed to find trouble around the corner.

All the races had kingdoms and territories across the land, in some way, shape or form. Not all hated each other; there are neutral zones and garden territory by the Faefolk. They made sure to sort out any trouble. There was also an adventure association that dealt with the majority of the problems that arose; they were founded by different organizations/kingdoms.

The landscape of Terra was unique; if an alien or otherworlder were to see it for themselves, they would question the laws of physics.

The planet was unique in the sense that most of the magic that was produced wasn't magic but made possible with technology, most of the exotic energy was generated by Terra herself, as she converted the energy to fit the right life forms.

The beings who reside on Terra regard her as a primordial force; they see her as the creator. Some individuals are even fanatics, along with cults that occasionally disturb daily life.

Unknown(POV)

In the vast nothingness that encompasses me, I relived past events over and over again so as not to truly fade into nothingness, I was torn apart, broken.

But as more time passed, I started to feel like something was pulling me, in this vast sea of white and emptiness, I started to see colour return.

I felt like I'd been healed, just enough to not worry about fading away, and I felt a chilling cold sweep over me as sounds started to register.

When I opened my eyes, I saw all white around me. I felt bits of energy here and there, but I was too weak to make them out. I suddenly saw a table and a chair sitting in the distance. Along with an outline of a man covered in golden light. I started to approach the area as something beckoned me to come forward. Once I was near the thing looked at me and I thought I saw a smile from it.

"Sooo.... You look like you've seen better days. Care for some tea?" The man asked.

"Sure, if there is any," I replied, as soon as I finished that sentence, tea came into existence, and I started to sit down next to the man while drinking the beverage, it felt refreshing, or at least as close as it could feel like, since I'm technically dead. The man seemed to nod his head at that.

"Well, I know I'm a stranger, but I have a way to help you out if you'd like." I looked at him after he finished saying that, and I had a surprised look on my face at his nonchalant proclamation of helping me out in my situation.

I hesitated to ask him questions, but from what I had already gathered, he had his ways. I knew I'd need to split myself to lessen the negative effects and combine my soul back together once all the debuffs and negative effects had expired.

The being seemed to think about it for a few seconds, and after a minute, he responded.

"I can split your soul into different pieces, each piece will recover in its own way, while your main soul that makes the vast majority of your being will go to the last known location you remember. There is no catch to this. I just find you interesting, as you wondered in here, I got curious." The person replied with an honest expression.

I looked at him and thought about it. I didn't mind the different places my soul will be split, as that will help ease the effects on my main soul. Granted, since I'm here, and seeing as how this being could be of help, I decided to ask him a question.

"Can't you just stop this soul eraser thing from damaging me further?" I asked.

He looked at me and said, "I could, but you know that whatever comes back to you won't be your original self, you see, on the contrary, unlike how my son feels about me, I do value free will. So if I help your soul and or existence have a proper anchor to this Omniverse, you'll lose a part of yourself. The reason is that you drifted too far into unfamiliar territory." He replied, which set off alarms in my head as I thought my own Omniverse, where I originally reside, was the only one.

"I know it's a lot to take in, but a friend of yours did catch my eye when she used your device to enter here" The being replied.

As soon as he said that, I fully understood my predicament. This was a ROB. My posture straightened. As usual, from what little I remember about theories from my world is that once we made that device, we essentially gave birth to another Omniverse much powerful than ours, but that was a theory at the time, and we didn't have the tools or infrastructure to test it out.

"If you are who I think you are, from my.... ummmm, how should I go about saying this? Previous life, I suppose, than I'll gladly accept." I was starting to get excited, as this was a new beginning for me.

"Thats great! Here is a list of worlds you're going to help even out the effects."

He gave me a very long paper list of different places with their history and what to expect, most of which I faintly remember were fiction in my place, but with the Aetheron: Core activation, they became real, I guess.

"The list is great, but is there any more information I should know about?" I inquired

"Yes" He replied with a smile

"You'll get a system, one that I designed that will help you recover. It'll also shield you from most outside forces as well, so you don't need to worry about not getting past 20, as in some places you don't have to worry about getting insta killed, as you transmitrigate or reincarnate entirely through that universe."

What he said brought some relief to me, but there was something still bugging me: will I be able to interact with my scattered soul remains?

"Yes, I'll allow the system that and much more, think of it as a gift." He kindly replied.

With that, I reach my hand out to him while giving a firm look.

"Thank you" I said sincerely.

"Don't thank me yet" He said with amusement.

Once we shook hands, I felt nothingness.
