Chapter 8 - Chapter 8 – Forbidden

The touch under the table in the library had left Élisa in shock. The line between what was allowed and what was forbidden had blurred, leaving her in an abyssal confusion. Adrien hadn't approached her that way since, but his memory burned beneath her skin, and his gaze had become an invisible thread constantly connecting them. Each time she crossed paths with him, the tension was palpable, the library having transformed into a silent battlefield where an unacknowledged desire bound them.

One rainy afternoon, as the university was strangely quiet, Élisa sought refuge in the large library. She was looking for books on the history of Casablanca, trying to drown her thoughts in academic research. The dim light and the smell of old books offered a semblance of peace. She settled at a large dark wooden table, surrounded by silent bookshelves.

She had barely immersed herself in her notes when a shadow fell across her page. Adrien. He sat opposite her, without a word, his expression unreadable. The library, so vast a moment ago, shrank to their only space, the air suddenly growing thin. A shiver ran through her. His intrusion was silent, but his presence was deafening. She tried to ignore him, to focus on her book, but every fiber of her being was aware of him.

Then, "accidentally," his hand brushed hers under the table as he seemed to reach for a book she had moved. A brief touch, barely a feather, but the current that ran through her was electric. Élisa held her breath, her gaze fixed on her book, the words dancing before her eyes.

It wasn't an accident. Seconds later, she felt the pressure again under the table. His fingers. Adrien brushed her knees, his caresses slowly ascending along her thigh, beneath the fabric of her jeans. It was a discreet contact, invisible to the few students present, but of suffocating intensity for Élisa. She felt the warmth of his palm through the fabric, a slow burn that spread. Her breath grew shallow, her throat tightened. She couldn't move, couldn't cry out. She dared to look up at him. His burning gaze was fixed on hers, a dark flame that left no room for doubt. He didn't smile, showed no emotion, but the intensity of his eyes said it all: he possessed her, even here, in plain sight, under the table. The game of desire and forbidden reached a point of no return, each touch drawing her deeper into his shadow.
