Chapter 3 - The Death

"I don't understand why you need my last memory"

In order to proceed, you must accept your sin.

I honestly don't even remember much. I definitely didn't sin. Well I have, but I repented. Think, Alice, think. Maybe this is how you plead your case.

"Well, sir, I was walking across the street. I was on my way to graduation and I was super excited. I just got accepted into law school and was telling my best friend, Jennifer, about it. You see, she couldn't make it to my graduation as she's abroad. Any way, I was talking to her when suddenly I heard a loud noise. Then everything was black. I don't know. I wasn't really paying attention. Wait, was that my sin? Not paying attention?"

Why would that be a sin, stupid child? What commandment said "thou shall be observant at all times"? What is your sin? Is that a complete memory?

"I don't know! I don't even know why I am here. I mean I know I have sinned. All humans sin. But I repented!"

I am getting far too old for this. A millennia of one stupid human to the next "oh I didnt sin, I'm innocent, wah". You would not be here if you didn't sin. You must accept your sin to move on.

The woman next to him snickered as she was typing away. What was she typing? The fucking clicking was causing it to be hard to think straight. I have trouble concentrating on a good day. I made it through school. I can make it through this.

This is a court. We record everything.

That's right. They read minds.

Any way, child. Let's move on. You were struck by a car. You committed a sin left unrepented which is why we are here today…what is that sin?
