Chapter 3 - Awakeing III

Ciel did as he said, not because she wanted to stay quiet, but because she fell unconscious again.

The next time she awoke she was laying on the floor, her savior was down the street fighting with Groß.

His sword was shining in the moonlight.

It was a onehanded Longsword, and it seemed to be made out of pure ice, emitting a weak blue aura of cold, which Ciel feeled eventhough she was rather far away from the fighting two.

Savior kicked Groß in the chest and he flew back against the wall of the nearest house, where he stayed unconscious.

He turned to Ciel and shouted something at her, but she couldn't understand.

He shouted again and pointed behind Ciel, following his finger she turned around and saw the gate out of Eventale.

Ciel understood, what was to her surprising, because she didn't understand anything that has happened after she went out the first time.

He wanted her out of the City, which made sense.

If she can't outrun them in the city, she needs to leave Eventale.

She lifted her tired body up and started to ran, running beeing an exaggeration, it was more like a limping.

As she arrived at the gate, she turned around to look at Savior ones again, but he was already engaged in the battle with Krumm.

Groß was still leaning against the wall unconscious.

Ciel turned around again and ran outside the City, wondering why she got saved and who saved her.

Because of that, she didn't realise where she was going.

She knew it, however, in an instant, as the whole world suddendly went black.

Not because it was still night, the sun was already rising again as she awoke on Saviors back, but because the light didn't have the authority to shine anymore.

As she realised where she was, it was already to late to turn around.

She looked in the sky which normally would be above her head, obviously, but she only saw darkness.

Deep and utter darkness.

She was certain where she was, more than she was the entire chase.

She had entered the forbidden forest in the east of the city, the forest which was warned before in uncountable tales and storys.

The forest in which only death lives.

The Forest of the Shadows.

One of the four death zones on the northern continent.
