Shizuku and Breck sat down in front of the counter when an elderly lady approached them. She had a lovely smile and seemed like a very kind person.
Having just finished their food and juice, Shizuku and Breck wanted to express their thoughts. Although the meal was simple, it surprisingly tasted very good—better than they expected for something so ordinary.
"Would you like anything else, dear customers?" The grandmother of Gon Freecs asked with a gentle smile. Though her eyes weren't gentle at all. She can tell when she sees a bad person.
And she can tell from a glance in an instant that these two are not good people at all. She can see a flood of blood in the eyes of Breck, even though she has never seen him.
It's where Gon gets his good eyes from. Breck looked up and grinned as she felt the waryness from the old lady. But he shrugged since he doesn't care.
"I would like a bottle of your best wine. Thank you in advance," Breck said with a grin as he put down enough money to cover the food, juice and the wine.
Shizuku suddenly looked at Breck in surprise. This is the first time she has ever seen Breck say thank you to anyone else but her. She could not help but be curious.
"It's nothing. I like the look in those eyes. There are not many kind people like her. I want her to live so I can compare how evil I am compared to a kind person like her," Breck explained.
He does not want to kill the overly kind people because, without kind people, evil people wouldn't exist. That's Breck's way of making sure his evilness won't fade.
Cause in a world where everyone and everything is evil. Then nothing is bad in that world, just what the people know. Breck wants to make sure kindness exists, so that evil can exist as well.
The old lady returned, and just as she placed the bottle of wine on the table, the door leading from the back opened. A beautiful lady with orange hair and a necklace walked in.
Mito looked up in surprise as the two customers and she smiled as she greeted them. Her eyes scanned Breck and noticed how handsome he looked in that suit and slicked-back hair.
"Welcome to our bar, what can I serve you?" Mito asked, only to receive a shake from her grandma's head. Mito looked confused at her grandma. Breck stood, Shizuku following him.
"Good day to you, miss. But I am afraid you were late since this beautiful lady already took our orders, but thank you for the offer," Breck said with a lazy grin as he bowed slightly, his eyes locked with Mito's.
Bam!
Shizuku's palm came down on the back of Breck's head, smashing his forehead against the bar and causing it to break before his head smashed into the floor.
"!!!" The mother and grandmother watched this with wide eyes as Breck let out a chuckle from his throat. Shizuku looked at Breck with dull eyes.
"Why did you look at her like that? I only want you to look at me, like that." Breck stood up with a groan as he rubbed the back of his head. His slicked-back hair was slightly ruined, but he quickly fixed it.
Breck took out a comb from his suit's pocket and slicked his hair back. He looked at Shizuku with a grin. Mito and her grandma backed up, knowing that the two were hunters or used Nen.
"Sorry for the disturbance. Here is the cash for the damages. Have a good morning," Breck said as he placed some money down, taking the wine. He walked out with Shizuku following him.
Shizuku looked back one last time, her eyes focused on Mito with such bloodlust that it was about to manifest. Breck's palm landed on her waist, causing Shizuku to pause.
Once the two left the bar, Shizuku stopped and looked at Breck. Her eyes ordered him to tell her why he looked at that woman with such eyes.
"Listen... I didn't mean it. I couldn't help it, it's male instinct," Breck tried to explain, and Shizuku pouted as she walked away from him. Breck sighed before following.
"Shizu, I am sorry. You know you are the apple of my eye. I don't have eyes for anyone but you. Come on," Breck said with a grin. The people on the street chuckled as they watched them.
"Then prove it!" Shizuku said sternly, not believing him a bit. Breck looked at her with a raised eyebrow and shrugged., Since she wants proof, why not give proof?
"I can give you one of my eyes if you want." Breck's hand reached up, and before he could gouge his eye out, Shizuku stopped him. She gripped his palm gently, her eyes locked with his.
"Stop it, I believe you..." Shizuku said, sensing the truth in Breck's words. She could feel his intent from his aura, which he allowed her to sense, and she knew he was telling the truth.
"So... Back to best buddies again?" Breck asked with a smile, and Shizuku nodded, though her eyes held a slight sadness. The two smiled before resuming their walk.
The two walked to a hotel and booked a room with a king-sized bed. This time, Shizuku did not make Breck sleep on the floor, and instead allowed him to sleep on the bed.
"Woooh!" Breck jumped, his body sliding onto he soft mattress below him. Shizuku rolled her eyes, sitting on the edge before taking her shoes and pants off.
Leaving herself in her panties and sports bra, she went and took a shower, with Breck waiting for his turn. After Shizuku came out, Breck quickly showered and then dried.
Coming out in his boxers, Breck locked eyes with Shizuku and grinned as he talked.
"So, what are we doing tonight?~" Breck asked with a wiggle of his eyebrow, and Shizuku blushed before pulling the covers higher on her body.
"We are sleeping!" Shizuku screamed, and Breck let out a disappointed sigh as he got under the covers. The warmth of Shizuku's body next to him warmed him up.
"It doesn't matter, your smell is enough for a quick one anyway~,"
"Just sleep already!"
