Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: The Life You Deserve

‎POV: Daniel Park

‎I stood by the balcony, scarf fluttering slightly in the breeze, the sun casting golden trails over the city. The Lambo sat beneath me like a waiting beast, and the house… no, the mansion behind me still didn't feel real.

‎"I will become someone worthy of this life," I whispered, clenching the black card in my hand.

‎Behind me, the sliding doors opened.

‎"Enough dramatic monologue," Dad called out, voice teasing. "Let's eat before your mom kills me."

‎I turned around—and froze.

‎Laid across the massive marble dining table inside was a buffet so luxurious, it could've been mistaken for a five-star hotel buffet. No, scratch that—several five-star hotel combined.

‎Roasted wagyu with marbling so perfect it looked painted. Gold-crusted lobster tails. Truffle-oil caviar pasta. Bowls of steaming kimchi jjigae, next to trays of Japanese sashimi, Korean royal court cuisine, French pastries, Italian cheese boards, even racks of American barbecue. The aroma hit me like a warm punch in the chest.

‎My mom stood at the edge of the table, eyes wide, lips parted.

‎"W-Where did you get all this?" she finally asked, confused.

‎Dad sat down casually, poured himself a glass of wine, and replied as if he'd just ordered chicken skewers.

‎"Oh, just ordered it."

‎She blinked. "Ordered?! From where, Mars?!"

‎He grinned. "I used my connection. Comes hot and fresh with a reality-bending freshness seal. I also hire the chief who made this a Michelin-star chef."

‎I let out a short laugh. "You're so damn prodigy."

‎Dad raised a toast. "I prefer resourceful."

‎POV: Sangcheol Park (MC)

‎The truth? I did spend over 500 million won in system currency for the "World-Class Royal Buffet Package: Instant Dining Edition including the chef, a bundle"—an overkill, really.

‎But today wasn't just about food. It was about immersion.

‎Letting Daniel experience what it meant to live freely, to taste everything he'd once watched on mukbangs with quiet envy.

‎He deserved more than just survival.

‎He deserved abundance.

‎And so, we feasted.

‎Daniel wolfed down a mountain of ribeye and rice. Seonhui was delicately cutting through salmon and sipping wine, though she kept glancing at me like I'd smuggled in heaven's pantry. I devoured enough pork belly to make a pig protest.

‎"Are you sure this is okay?" Mom asked midway.

‎I looked up. "You think I'd poison you on Daniel's birthday?"

‎She shook her head. "No, I mean… this life. This much. All at once."

‎I placed my hand over hers.

‎"I'm sure. We've suffered enough for a hundred lifetimes. Now we're going to live."

‎POV: Daniel Park

‎After the feast, I thought that was it. That we'd just sit around, watch Netflix, maybe pass out in food comas.

‎But nope.

‎Dad had a whole schedule.

‎Next stop? The mall.

‎Not just any mall. The Sky Plaza Tower—a vertical megamall reserved for Seoul's wealthiest and most powerful.

‎We walked in like a scene from a K-drama. The staff bowed, red carpet was rolled, and I swear even the escalators felt like they moved smoother under our feet.

‎First, we hit the luxury watch store.

‎Dad gestured lazily. "Pick one."

‎"I—I don't even wear watches."

‎He rolled his eyes. "Then start today."

‎I scanned the display. My eyes locked onto a Vacheron Constantin Overseas Tourbillon, rose gold with blue dial, limited edition.

‎"Too much?"

‎Dad: "Not enough. That's only one watch."

‎One?! Bro, I nearly fainted.

‎Next was electronics.

‎I bought the custom laptop that i only imagine in the past. Bought, bought, bought. VR headset, wireless earbuds, gaming console? Add into the cart.

‎Then came fashion.

‎Mom walked beside me, laughing as she picked out suits and jackets and casualwear, enjoying it more than I was.

‎I tried on a deep navy designer suit, the fabric hugging my new frame like it was tailored just for me. When I stepped out of the changing room, Mom gasped softly.

‎"You look like a gentleman."

‎Dad snorted. "No, he looks like a chaebol's bodyguard. You've got the build of a professional bodyguard."

‎I grinned. "bodyguard sounds kinda sick, not gonna lie."

‎Mom rolled her eyes. "Both of you stop."

‎POV: Seonhui Park

‎Watching my boys laugh and throw sarcastic remarks at each other was like therapy.

‎My son no longer flinched.

‎He smiled. He stood tall. He laughed.

‎And my husband… was like an invincible shield around us. A rock I could lean on. Strong but soft, crude but careful, ridiculous and yet full of love.

‎I felt safe.

‎For the first time in so, so many years.

‎POV: Sangcheol Park

‎When evening fell, I didn't take them home.

‎Instead, I guided them to the harbor—where my newest purchase floated like a mythological creature on the sea.

‎Daniel's jaw dropped. Mom stopped breathing for a moment.

‎A massive luxury yacht, three decks high, fully white with sapphire trim. Polished decks, glass walls, helipad in the center with a sitting black helicopter parked there like a sleeping dragon.

‎Its name, written on the side in elegant Hangul: "SeonDaniel."

‎Combination of both their names.

‎Daniel looked at me. "Is this yours?!"

‎I gave him a wink. "Connection again. It comes with verified ownership docs, registered under my name. Full legal, full stealth. Even has a safe room and panic protocol."

‎He stared at the chopper. "You planning for a zombie apocalypse or something?"

‎"I like to be prepared."

‎Inside, it was a floating palace. Dining hall, full kitchen, heated pool, cinema room, and a luxury bedroom suite for each of us.

‎The yacht sailed under a starry sky while soft jazz played on speakers. We dined under warm lights—steak and champagne, fruits and chocolates.

‎Mom was in a silk dress, smiling like a queen.

‎Daniel was in a luxury casual fit, head resting on his hand, clearly in disbelief.

‎I raised my glass.

‎"To my son," I said. "Eighteen years strong. To the boy who endured more than he should have, and for the man he is becoming."

‎They clinked their glasses with mine.

‎And we laughed.

‎And we ate.

‎And for that night, nothing else existed but peace.
