"Lunae…"
They were there again. Trapped in each other's embrace, with nowhere to run. Only this time, Sonera was far more prepared.
She knew who she was dealing with.
Still, it was hard not to quiver with anticipation and feral abhorrence whenever the blue-haired girl approached. She was a skilled seductress at the very least. And even as she came to Sonera with a noticeable change in her approach, the assassin found herself helpless once more.
"It's okay if they hear you." Lunae smiled, closing the glass door behind her. "Ivy and I have an…understanding. Besides, I can smell their anticipation from here. We won't be rude."
Sonera rubbed her hands together, feeling the warrior spirit leave her body to make room for her vulnerability and earnestness. But much to her surprise, Lunae hadn't yet torn her asunder.
She was waiting for something. A new concept she learned while battling herself. Something she already had from Sonera but still wanted to see for herself.
Consent.
"Sonera…" Lunae paused, her breath hitched as she looked at the floor.
Her tail re-emerged from hiding, creeping its way to Sonera's leg before gently wrapping itself around her. Sonera flinched and nearly whimpered. She understood the message.
"Do you…want this?" Lunae continued.
The assassin nodded gleefully in response, her head firing off the gesture as fast as it could manage. It was a feeble response. But her actions were honest.
Lunae breathed deeply and licked her lips. She could hardly contain herself, her tail making its way around Sonera's neck. She wanted to tame the beast, to ravage her mind and turn it from its psychotic quest for vengeance, and back into her clutches.
The tail squeezed quite hard.
"Huh," Sonera grunted, crumpling onto the polished flooring as her clothes slipped loose from Lunae's Psionic grasp.
"Don't fall on me yet." Lunae teased.
Once she had her prey exposed, Lunae wrapped her tail around the rest of Sonera's body before levitating her into the air. She wanted to bring her companion into the bath. But simply guiding her there wasn't nearly bold enough.
"Kuh!" Sonera wheezed, dangling helplessly as she kicked her legs.
She soon became submerged in the bath, closing her mouth in an attempt to save herself from a mouthful of water. But instead of trusting the fall, Sonera squirmed with a frightened gaze. Lunae was quick to pull her out.
"You can't swim?" She motioned with a concerned hand, cupping Sonera's cheeks as she held her neck above the surface of the water. "You seem startled."
"My home..." Sonera muttered. "Not much water."
Lunae giggled, brushing aside her hair to reveal both her reptilian eyes. In her homeland, wherever that was, underwater maneuvering was almost as common as walking. The idea that Sonera genuinely had no recourse for a nautical environment was quite humorous indeed.
Water was so natural to the girl that even her markings glimmered a bit beneath the surface. Such truth was one of the few things she was willing to admit to Sonera. Some part of her even longed to go back to her mother's garden, where the pools were plentiful and filled with lumescenct fauna.
"Oh?" Lunae tilted her head with an ominious smirk, plugging Sonera's nose and mouth as a brief but playful gesture. "How dangerous. You really do live life on the edge."
"Hmhg," Sonera grunted angrily.
"Oh, please, don't get all grumbly on me. I just think it's funny that the mighty Sonera would be defeated by waist-high water."
Lunae's tail reached across the room as she spoke, grabbing a bottle of shampoo with a firm grasp. It didn't necessarily occur to her how strange it was for Yrix to possess human products, but then again, she shared a similar perspective on such items. All she could really do, as an alien from afar, was to study its usage and probe Sonera's mind for affirmation. Luckily, the process seemed rather intuitive.
Squirt a handful and start rubbing. That was the idea. Or at least, it would have been for a normal girl.
What Lunae had in mind was far more playful, judging by how she used her tail instead of her hands to complete the process.
"Mmmh." Sonera twined, shutting her left eye as Lunae's soft tip scrubbed her face.
The dried blood should have begun to dilute the clear water, but something secreted from Lunae's tail was preventing that outcome altogether. One would have called that gross if not for its sheer usefulness. Sonera didn't even bother to question why Lunae would come with the biological ability to hide a crime scene.
She was always covered in blood anyway.
"Sonera," Lunae spoke softly, exfoliating Sonera's skin with a massaging touch. "What are we?"
Her large chest pressed against Sonera's as she leaned closer, causing the girl to flinch and turn red. The affirmation was obvious, however nonverbal. But Lunae wanted more than just her feminine ego to be reinforced.
She knew she was beautiful.
But what she wanted from Sonera was becoming more than just a quest for cardinal pleasure.
"Sonera?"
The girl muttered in response. "You don't know yourself."
Lunae sighed. "I must admit I struggle to put this into words. What we've become."
"Fragments and pieces. Finding their way. Togethor." Sonera furrowed her brow.
"That's what you'd call us?"
"You had a different word in mind."
Lunae placed a finger on her lip, looking to the sky as she murmured. "I was thinking...companions."
Sonera held herself in a fetal position. She was afraid but nodded in agreement nonetheless. Having a companion would only make her more vulnerable to Yrix.
"Well..." Lunae pulled away, ascending the stairs as she looked for a brush. "I know what I want."
Sonera stared at Lunae's backside, oggling at her features whenever they skimmed against each other. Suddenly, her stoic resolution and vulnerable desires became one and the same, filling her with courage. She hardly even understood her next move before it was already made.
"Ack!" Lunae yelped, falling onto her hands and knees, having only partially climbed the small set of stairs.
Sonera had mounted her from behind, pressing Lunae down against the cold tiles with a firm hand. Lunae attempted to shift her weight, but was quickly restrained, held tightly by Sonera's rear arm lock. And at first, she was consumed with the feral desire to break free and assert dominance.
But that part of her was defeated the moment she felt Sonera's warm breath creep down her neck.
She liked it.
"W-what are you?!" Lunae gasped, a cold shiver enveloping her chest as it squished against the cold tile. "Sonera-!"
Sonera stated plainly. "Companions."
Lunae's tail shot upwards, writhing in submissive agony. It was useless. Such feelings had quickly become addictive, and Lunae soon released a sensual grunt to inform Sonera of her success.
It was then that a familiar voice reached out to her in a playful tone.
"How's it going over there?" Ivy chimed in. "Thought we'd update."
"Uuh!" Lunae struggled, panting helplessly as Sonera pressed inwards, her bony pelvis and flat chest providing a solid wall of force. "Getting a little complicated!"
"Oh? Well, I have Lila here in my clutches. She dozed off."
"I was trying to do the same I-." Lunae's eyes widened. "Aaah!"
The heiress chuckled, her Psionic voice tinging against the corner of Lunae's skull. "I'll let you sort that out."
Sonera remained unaware of the conversation, but sensed a smidgen of resistance in her companion. Enjoying her new role meant enforcing it for however long she could. And so it came as no surprise when she found herself pressing Lunae's face onto the tile before pulling it back up for a chokehold.
The voice that came forth from Lunae was panicked and sensual, her body unable to process her own submission. But submit she did, arching her back to improve the angle Sonera already had on her. It was nice to have someone tame her.
They were, after all, both feral creatures. Two freaks trying to fix themselves and defy the monsters who made them. And to that end, they had found a modicum of success.
"She won't take you from me. I promise." Sonera mouthed, nibbling on Lunae's nape with the edge of her teeth.
"Ah!" Lunae did her best to nod.
The markings on her body flickered, and her tail soon found enough strength to wrap lovingly around Sonera's left ankle. Once Lunea's vigor finally waned and her eyes rolled to the back of her head, Sonera finally relinquished her hold. She was left beaten, panting like a wet dog on the stairs.
"Sonera..." Lunae muttered once more. "I-..."
"I know." Sonera wrapped her arms around Lunae's belly. "I'm scared too."
"You hardly show it."
"We all have our own ways."
Sonera was right. Yrix's students had become defined by fear.
Lila yearned for home and friends and felt out of her depth. Ivy couldn't bear to look into the mirror and face the pathetic, broken coward that she would find there. Sonera dreaded her own heart and the pain it would feel if she lost another companion. And Lunae, most of all, was afraid of the monster she was born to be.
