Chapter 4 - Chapter Four — Return as a Shadow

The return wasn't announced. It simply happened.

At the Eclipse: Omega Remastered premiere, held at the Royal Theatre in London, a single figure entered through the back. No entourage. No flash.

He sat in the last row.

Those who turned saw him—a little older, beard faint, eyes tired yet shining. A myth in flesh. The room stilled, breath held. When the final scene played, the screen went black, and a new message faded in:

"This time, the story belongs to the children of the myth."

Max stood.

Applause erupted. But he held up his hand, smiled gently, and nodded toward the crowd.

He stepped onto the stage. No script. Just silence, then:

"I left so the world could remember. Now I return… so we can forget together. And begin again."

A global live-stream followed. Not a press conference, but a conversation. Young creators from around the world asked him questions. He answered slowly, with pauses that felt like poetry.

"It was never about me. It was about the stories we tell — and how they make us who we are."

He announced no sequels. No studios. Just a school:

Eclipse Academy.

A place for storytellers, dreamers, world-builders. It wasn't about fame, he said. It was about memory. Legacy. Empathy.

"Some stories never end. They just wait for their teller to return."

And as quietly as he came, he stepped back.

Letting others take the stage
