What the hell… so I'm just going to die?
My shield is useless… the moment that fire touches me, I'm finished. That's what the system is telling me.
"Okay, system. Close," Raito muttered.
The notifications vanished.
Raito clenched his teeth, staring at the dragon.
What do I do about that attack?
How am I supposed to strike something like that?
I'm going to have to use everything I have. Everything. If I want to survive… I have to take that thing out.
The dragon roared and shot downward, wings cutting the air.

It fired again—
and Raito dove aside while still speeding downward toward the beast.

He moved sideways, flipping, twisting, dodging each blast by inches—
all while keeping his eyes locked on the dragon as he descended toward it with killing intent.
