Jason's words were like a demon's whisper lingering in the agent's ear, continuously assaulting his mental defenses.
According to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s internal data, 99% of captives couldn't endure the pain of interrogation and confessed. The rest didn't make it and died.
As the world's most influential terrorist organization, the Joker organization's interrogation capabilities were beyond doubt.
However...
"Dream on! I won't say anything!" The agent steeled his heart and said through gritted teeth.
He was a man with parents, a wife, and children.
If he didn't confess, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s compensation pay would be enough for his family to live without worry.
But if he confessed, he would become S.H.I.E.L.D.'s traitor. Without the compensation to support them, he didn't know what would become of his family.
After thinking it over, the agent decided to keep his mouth shut. No matter what torture he suffered, he could not leak the secret.
"Hmph! Some guts." Jason snorted coldly and said to his ally, "You all learned some interrogation techniques at the hideout. Who wants to try first?"
As soon as he finished, David spoke up: "Boss, let me go first."
Jason nodded, and he and the other took a few steps back. "Control yourself. Don't kill him."
David nodded with a smile, clearly very confident in his control over his superpower.
He slowly crouched down, loosened up his jaw, and then activated his power!
"AHHH!!!"
The armor's vacuum layer was damaged. The infrasound easily drilled into the agent's body.
David matched the infrasonic frequency to the vibrational frequency of the human organs, immediately causing the agent's insides to resonate.
The agent's organs began to jump wildly, his head grew dizzy, his mood became agitated, his ears were filled with ringing, and he felt nauseous.
He had thought the Joker's interrogation would be similar to S.H.I.E.L.D.'s, but he never expected such a show of force right at the start.
Using superpowers for interrogation... that was truly unheard of.
David controlled the infrasound's intensity, destroying the agent's mental defenses as much as possible without causing fatal damage.
On the side, Jason and the others were discussing the matter.
At first, they thought these Iron Soldiers were mercenaries Tony had hired.
However, Tony is an egoistic and rude person; even his own employees disliked him.
Could money alone make these mercenaries willing to die for him?
Putting himself in their shoes, Jason figured he'd probably confess everything before they even started.
After all, no matter how much money, you had to be alive to spend it.
"You think he could be S.H.I.E.L.D.?" Christine offered a theory.
Instantly, a spark ignited in Jason's mind.
Why did Tony, silent for half a year, suddenly attack the LA branch and publicly provoke him in the media?
Why did Tony, who loves a direct fight and the spotlight, use a low-class trap like this, and in his own home?
Why were these Iron Soldiers all so willing to die, preferring to endure torture rather than reveal the suit's secrets?
If the mastermind behind this incident was S.H.I.E.L.D., then all these unreasonable things would make sense.
Jason turned and walked over. "Stop!"
Hearing him, David immediately closed his mouth.
The discomfort from the infrasound vanished. The agent felt like he had returned to the world of the living after a trip to hell.
He weakly raised his eyelids, looking at Jason in confusion.
What new, cruel interrogation method had this mass-murdering demon thought of now?
Jason crouched down, stared intently into his eyes, and suddenly asked, "Where is Nick Fury?"
The moment he spoke, the agent's pupils dilated slightly, and his gaze flickered.
Under normal circumstances, a rigorously trained agent wouldn't have slipped up.
But he had just endured the infrasound, and his physical and mental state was extremely poor. Plus, his mind was already filled with thoughts of Fury and his family.
Jason's sudden question, hitting the nail on the head, naturally exposed his fluster.
The agent quickly recovered, schooling his expression into one of someone hearing an unfamiliar name.
But it was too late!
Jason's face was a cold sneer as he slowly stood up.
S.H.I.E.L.D.!
It had been over half a year since the last live broadcast. They had forgotten the pain of their old scars and were asking for it again.
Jason slowly clenched his fists.
In that case, I'll carve another scar on your face. Let's see how long you remember this lesson!
"Take him back to New York. Hand him over to Billy for interrogation. Everyone has their specialty. You're all still too green at this."
"Honey! Where are you going?"
Jason said. "Washington! The Triskelion!"
Hearing this, Harley said worriedly, "Honey, soloing S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ is too dangerous. Let's all go together."
Jason said confidently, "Don't worry! With my current power, as long as the government doesn't use nukes, no one can stop me."
With that, the energy in his body exploded outward!
With a loud boom, the ground cratered, and Jason shot into the sky.
.........
Flying in US airspace, Jason as expected, captured by S.H.I.E.L.D.'s satellites.
An agent burst into the deathly quiet conference room. " Sir! A large number of unidentified objects are flying over Los Angeles."
Unidentified objects?
Although the agent hadn't said it explicitly, anyone with eyes knew it had to be the Joker's crew.
Fury asked, "Where are they headed? New York?"
The agent replied, "Most are on a flight path to New York. But one is not."
This piqued Fury's curiosity. He quickly asked, "Who is it? Jason?"
The agent shook his head. "His speed is exceeding Mach 5. The satellite can't get a clear image."
Mach 5.
It was definitely Jason, that bastard!
"Where is he headed?"
"Based on his flight path... probably Washington!"
Hearing this, the agents all frowned.
Jason finished his mission, so why wasn't he going back to New York to party? What was he doing in Washington?
Natasha's face tensed. She cried out, "Oh no! The Triskelion!"
"What!"
"Why is Jason going to the Triskelion!"
"Yeah! Logically, he should be going to find Tony Stark!"
"Unless... that last captured Iron Soldier spilled the secret."
"This... sigh! All that anti-interrogation training was for nothing!"
"They must have used some kind of unconscionable torture methods."
"No! I trust that agent didn't sell us out. Otherwise, Jason wouldn't be going to Washington. He'd be coming straight here."
"Good point! So what do we do? If Jason's target is the Triskelion, we have no way to stop him."
Fury stared at the screen, which was mapping the flight paths of Jason and his crew.
After observing for a moment, he spoke: "Notify Hill. Emergency evacuation!"
With the headquarters' safety at stake, Fury couldn't take any chances.
Better safe than sorry!
With that, he got on the phone to urgently report the matter to the World Security Council.
Jason's power had surged and was now completely out of control.
S.H.I.E.L.D. alone could not stop him. They needed a joint, multi-pronged operation.
......
While Fury was busy notifying Hill to evacuate, Jason hadn't forgotten he had his own man inside the Triskelion. He contacted Stanfield through the Joker Community.
An emergency contact meant something big was happening. Stanfield's brow furrowed. He immediately left his office and went to the rooftop smoking area.
Connecting the communicator, Jason's voice came through: "Kssshh... Stan... ksssshhh... can you hear me?"
Stanfield's ear was full of static. He asked in a low voice, "Boss, where are you? The background noise is too loud!"
Hearing this, Jason released energy from his body, creating an even larger energy shield.
"Better now?"
"Yeah, at least I can hear you clearly."
Jason, wanting to confirm his guess, asked, "I remember you said S.H.I.E.L.D.'s senior agents were all out on a mission. Any follow-up on that?"
Stan replied, "Yes! I found a clue through my Hydra connections. Not much, but I know those agents are embedded in LA and are mixed up with Stark."
"Hmph! Just as I thought."
"Boss, do you suspect S.H.I.E.L.D. was behind the LA branch incident?"
"I suspected. Now I'm sure."
"Did you find their hideout?"
"No! They're a bunch of rats; even Chloe can't find them. But it doesn't matter.."
Hearing this, Stanfield was shocked. "Boss, you're not... you're not on your way to the Triskelion, are you?"
"Congratulations, you guessed right! S.H.I.E.L.D. screwed me. I can't let this go! I'll be there in half an hour. You need to find a way to get out of the Triskelion. Now."
"Okay, I understand!"
After the call ended, Jason shrank his energy shield, diverting more power to propulsion. His speed once again exceeded Mach 5.
Suddenly, a golden light flashed in the distance.
Before Jason could react, he felt like he hit something.
Hard.
With a loud boom, a fireball exploded in the sky!
Jason shot out of the black smoke like a meteor.
The explosion was loud, but it did no damage; it didn't even breach his energy shield's sturdy defense. But Jason was definitely startled.
What the hell was that?
Soon, one after another, golden lights flashed before his eyes.
Each flash was followed by an explosion, but he couldn't see what the explosives were.
When the golden light flashed again, Jason stopped instantly and flew in the reverse direction.
When he matched the object's flight speed, he finally saw it clearly.
It was an anti-aircraft missile!
Jason understood. It seemed his coordinates and destination were exposed.
A pity. The anti-aircraft missile's explosive yield was too small. It couldn't kill him; it couldn't even break his energy shield.
Jason raised his hand and destroyed the missile with an energy wave.
Knowing the missiles couldn't break his defense, he relaxed and continued toward Washington.
Currently, the only missiles that could outspeed him and hurt him were the world's three great truths:
Minuteman, Topol, and Dongfeng!
But no idiot would use an ICBM to bomb a humanoid target!
