"I hate this feeling" Ash said in almost a whisper trying hard for him to remain sane,
It wasn't the feeling he felt when he committed murder, it was a feeling far more painful than what he expected
And he got it just because his favorite book had ended and badly at that apparently the author was said to have been involved in a sort of problem and now, he had to close up the whole book which by his observation had ended very badly.
Currently he was sitting on the hood of what seemed to be a car but was disfigured to the extent that anything that would have been inside would be nothing but paste but somehow a movement could be noticed inside of it.
A man who looked like one in his early sixties could be seen trying to escape the wreckage, he was blooded and battered looking like someone who was a few steps from death door, not too far but not too close either.
Ash watched not with interest like a psychopath or confusion like an innocent bystander
It was a gaze of understanding, one when you know that you have when you had something done diligently without making a single mistake, something done on purpose without worrying about the consequences
And in Ash case there weren't any consequence of any kind for him to worry about, there weren't any witnesses and there undoubtably no evidence or trace which would lead to him which in any case if any was found wouldn't lead them back to someone who didn't exist in any record, he was an assassin of course he didn't and wasn't supposed to exist in any record.
Suddenly hearing footsteps approaching him, the man paused before slowly turning his head to meet his grim reaper
Fear was written all over his face which even with the bleeding could be seen sweating like his life depended on it, "you are one hell of a cockroach …... you know that right, that accident was meant to kill you but you somehow managed to survive which I'll be honest is very much surprising" a calm voice said to the man sending shiver down his Spine enough to freeze him up.
The man had a pale look on his face, staring at ash as if he was some sort of reaper which he was technically but at least he was supernatural in any way. But the more Ash looked the more he felt something was wrong, very, very.
The man was scared but the fear didn't belong to him totally like he was scared of something else, and Ash wanted him to be scared, of all the jobs he had taken this man seem to be someone who earned his hate indirectly and without even lifting a single finger.
"…run…" the words came out of the man's mouth along with a few disoriented mumbling like someone who was really on the verge of breaking down mentally , " I hope what you are trying to say is not what the mother and child you slaughtered try to say ' cause let me run' is out of options '' Ash said in a very calm tone as he got close to the man , getting on one knee when he got in front of him.
He was an assassin who had rules and principles he had to abide by and when he received the contract to kill the man Infront of him, he actually hesitated since to the outside world he was a philanthropist and a kindhearted fellow who had contributed to the betterment of the society, but he felt something wasn't just right.
The kill order came from someone he didn't expect, not a competitor in his industrial market, or from a someone in his office circle which strangely happened to be someone very close to him, his daughter
She didn't give a reason which was against his conduct to accept just telling him to find out himself, which seemed sketchy at first, as she acted as if she knew him or got his contact from someone leaving every other person in his organization he worked for and heading straight for him.
Upon his investigation he found out something that didn't really shaking much but to others was a harrowing truth; the man wasn't a philanthropist as he posed himself to be instead, he was a monster wearing a human clothing the number of evil deeds under his name was so long that he would need at least a week to read them all out. from sponsoring terrorist groups to robbery, child abuse and trafficking the: list goes on and on.
He somehow managed to take out all the guards protecting him in what couldn't be described as one fell swoop since it took a harrowing number of explosives, he hoped to take the man along, but he seemed more of a tenacious being than he had expected.
By this time he was already Infront of the man looking at him with his tilted slightly , the man kept trying to say something which was inaudible most likely his vocal cord was severely injured but the sound he was try to make kept giving him some sort of unease ; it didn't seemed like he was trying to beg for his life but his eyes were somewhat pleading " r…run ….. he …. He….is coming ''.
At that moment as had a really bad feeling, like a very bad premonition his instinct kicked in and he moved away feeling something very, very wrong. he wanted to say it was just the rambling of an old man, but he wasn't sure as the feeling he had was the same one he always had when something bad was going to happen which had saved him on several occasions.
Just as he was thinking, he suddenly felt a strong sense of danger forcing his body off the way. just as something wheezed past where he was a few seconds ago, he managed to escape, but the old man wasn't so lucky and got an arrow stuck to his head.
''Who uses such primitive weapons nowadays?'' Ash asked as he quickly turned around to see the intruder, who looked very bizarre, wearing an all-black outfit which seemed to blend well with the night, giving Ash a feeling he hadn't felt in a long while: fear.
