He was kept in the family dungeon for a three days straight before being released by his uncle ( head ) who wasn't aware of the issue as claimed, and after finding out about his discovery asked him to hand it over to him stating two reasons: one was that he belonged to the family so need to work for its betterment while the second reason was that his son Ash elder cousin needed it so he could shine brighter and he was barely a month older that him.
It was the most shameless thing he heard and still he refused to yield, his sentence didn't last long before he was released which after a few weeks later he was framed for murder which on normal circumstances was supposed to at least take him to juvenile detention but somehow it went out of child due to the background of the victim.
And of course, the only way out was to yield to their earlier demand and submit or spend a long time in the bastion as a child soldier, and Ash took his best bet, as his mentality didn't paint it as a terrible place until he got here.
Ash gave out a calm sigh looking at the creature in front of him, it took a total of five months, three weeks and four days to get it right and that was because of the very little resources he was given access to, if he were to be one of his uncle children it would take less time but he was limited making do with what he had adding his knowledge of magic of both worlds to create something that others couldn't.
But even with all the knowledge he had, he was still stuck. The kind of magic that is used in this world is vastly different from the last world he came from, and although there are similarities, the differences made it hard to be able to use the magic properly.
In the past world, they mainly existed as wizards, mages, and knights, but in this world, they are six different basic classes: blades, lancers, assassins, berserker, Archers, and casters, each surprisingly having distinct qualities.
People with blade class are more or less swordsmen with attributes that help them to become as sharp and lethal as they could be.
People with the lancer class are very similar to the blade class, but their class is built for ranged weapons like spears and staffs.
People with the Archer class are built for ranged attack, but usually deal physical damage.
People with the assassin class are built for stealth and speed
People with the berserker class are rather different, possessing incredible strength and defenses
The people with the Caster class, or Mages as they prefer being called, are built to be able to use magic utilizing manipulation.
When he learnt about this as a kid, he thought it was all until he grew up a little, learning about the world, and he found out how vast the magic system turned out to be.
One doesn't have their class given to them at birth well technically it is instead it is laid inside them dormant and can only be activated after being saturated with mana which is the fundamental form of magic existing in the same form as air but vastly different, some people do exist either having the dormant class and not being able pass mana through it due to having damaged pathways, or not having any class at all, after the awakening has taken place the person who has undergone this process becomes different having certain part of them becoming enhanced.
Blades become stronger, archers gain clearer eyesight, assassins gain increased speed and agility, berserkers gain an explosive amount of strength, lancers gain increased agility, while Casters have increased intelligence and mental resonance, allowing increased affinity to mana. This usually is not fixed as some aspects of them are increased higher than others.
Only after awakening would they face the harrowing path to becoming stronger, which consists of eight levels and ten sub levels in each of them, and all this is aided by the Akashic system, making the process simple, helping them to know their stats, and also helping in their class branching.
Looking back Ash felt both relived and scared at the same time, relieved that he had escaped the reach from his family to some extent even though they had a little influence in the bastion like he had seen in his aunt it wasn't enough to put him in mortal danger, scared that his death date could be closer than he expected it to be due how dangerous the bastion had been turning out to be.
Taking in a deep breath Ash got to work, this time he wasn't trying to create an enchantment or bring a creature out of a soul orb ... no he was trying to learn, although he had extensive knowledge of runes from his world Ash was stuck due to how different their fundamental principles where he was often found running blind and this had being going on for a while.
Yes he was able to draw out the creature but that because he found a way for it to work studying just the soul orb of the grey phantom eagle, a creature second rank bloodline and was off the grand level in strength which meant that the array lines that it had was not so intricate as others in higher ranks and level as the stronger a creature was the more intricate the patterns the soul orb would possess and the more power it would possess, this was where the problem was as he was stumped when he tried understanding the pattern in the soul orb of a creature that was just one rank and one level higher than the phantom eagle.
