Chapter 143 - Chapter 143: Manda

Chapter 143: Manda

Just as Kyosuke and the others were slaughtering the Sand ninja's ninjutsu unit, something unexpected happened on the main battlefield where Orochimaru was.

"Boar, Dog, Bird, Monkey, Ram."

"Summoning: Triple Rashomon."

As Orochimaru formed the hand seals, three giant gates with strange patterns suddenly enveloped him.

The moment he completed the ninjutsu, a golden sea of sand slammed into the gates with a deafening roar.

Orochimaru looked at the man who was attacking again with a grim expression and said coldly, "Is Hanzo getting old? How did you recover so quickly?"

The man clasped his hands together and launched another ninjutsu attack. At the same time, he looked up at Orochimaru with a cold smile but did not answer his question.

"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Wave."

This man was the recovered Rasa.

To be honest, Orochimaru had not expected Rasa to arrive on the battlefield so quickly, and he seemed to be in good condition.

He knew Hanzo of the Salamander's strength better than anyone, which was why he felt that Rasa's sudden appearance was so strange.

Although Orochimaru was a bit flustered by Rasa's surprise attack, it was far from enough to defeat him with just this gold dust.

"Wind Release: Great Breakthrough." Orochimaru used a powerful Wind Release ninjutsu to temporarily slow down the advance of the sea of sand, then slammed his hands on the ground again.

"Summoning Technique."

Poof!

A huge cloud of smoke flashed, and a giant snake, dozens of meters high, suddenly appeared on the battlefield.

Manda. This was the most powerful summoned beast Orochimaru could currently summon, and its strength was among the top in Ryuchi Cave.

"Damn you, Orochimaru! So many enemies again," Manda said, completely ignoring the sea of sand below him. He looked down at the few people in front of him and the countless Sand ninja behind them and couldn't help but complain to Orochimaru, who was on his head.

"Don't worry. There's plenty of food today," Orochimaru said softly to Manda.

"Alright then. This time, I want two hundred living people as rations, understand?" Manda's huge voice echoed across the battlefield, making Orochimaru's mouth twitch.

"...The enemy is attacking. Be careful," Orochimaru said, ignoring his request, his voice hoarse as he gave a warning.

"Hmph, insignificant humans," Manda said, looking at the figures rushing toward him, and snorted coldly, beginning to turn his body.

Despite Manda's huge size, his movements were much more agile than the toads and slugs of the other two great sage regions.

With just a slight turn, he used the powerful mechanics of his body to whip his tail at the figure.

Before the attack could even land, the fierce wind it created had already sent the figure flying. Then, with a flexible flick of its tail in the air, it slammed into the unfortunate Sand ninja.

In an instant, a cloud of blood mist exploded in the air.

Seeing this, Bunjin and Rasa exchanged a look, then both shouted, "Everyone, fall back two kilometers! You can't handle it!"

Hearing this, the Sand ninja all let out a small sigh of relief, then turned and charged at the other enemies.

Seeing his subordinates leave, Bunjin pondered for a moment and then said to Rasa, who was beside him, "You use ninjutsu to interfere with the giant snake's movements. I'll take care of Orochimaru."

"Yes, sir," Rasa replied, then once again controlled the gold dust to rush at Manda.

"Annoying little insects," Manda said, instinctively twisting his body as he looked at the oncoming sea of sand.

Although the sand couldn't cause him any harm, the feeling of being enveloped in it was not pleasant.

So, at this time, Manda, completely ignoring Orochimaru's orders, moved his body and slithered toward the distant Sand ninja army.

"...Fool," Orochimaru said coldly, then tilted his head back and took out the Kusanagi sword from his mouth, followed by a backhand slash.

Clang! Two blades clashed violently in the air.

"Quick reaction," Bunjin said. Seeing that he had failed to sneak attack the enemy, he didn't mind too much. After all, from the past few exchanges, the enemy before him was not so easy to defeat. So, it was no surprise that he had been blocked.

He retreated, dodging a few poisonous snakes' attacks, then looked at the Kusanagi sword in Orochimaru's hand with a greedy gaze and said with a cold laugh, "This sword will be my best trophy."

"Heh," Orochimaru said with a mocking smile, then charged at him, preparing to force him back as quickly as possible.

Of course, just as the enemy understood him, Orochimaru was also very wary of the enemy's strength. So, although he had long wanted to kill him, he had been a bit powerless.

"But today's situation is a bit different," Orochimaru thought to himself.

The clash of the two Kage-level powerhouses made Manda, who was below them, extremely miserable.

He had to dodge the constantly surrounding sand while also enduring the sharp pain that came from his head from time to time. This situation finally made him snap.

Roar! He threw his head back and let out a roar that was unlike a snake's. Manda directly flipped his body, sending the two on his head flying. He then quickly burrowed into the ground and slithered toward Rasa in the distance.

Orochimaru was thrown several dozen meters away before he finally landed steadily. He looked at Manda's actions and couldn't help but curse in his heart again. "What an idiot."

Just as he had said, as Manda was ambushing Rasa from below, preparing to burst out of the ground and swallow him whole, he was surprised to find that he couldn't move.

"What's happening?" Manda twisted uneasily, causing countless cracks to appear on the ground. But even so, he still couldn't break free from the strange restraint.

Rasa sensed his state with the sand, the corner of his mouth curling up slightly as his hands suddenly slammed onto the ground below him.

"Magnet Release: Sand Gold Grand Burial."

Instantly, the ground within a radius of several miles began to vibrate violently.

If Manda hadn't seen that the situation was bad and actively dispelled the summoning jutsu, teleporting himself back to Ryuchi Cave, he would have likely been crushed into a pile of mush by the sand gold.

Even so, he was still seriously injured and would probably be unable to fight for a long time.

Orochimaru, his face expressionless, formed another hand seal, summoning a few smaller giant snakes to temporarily resist Rasa. He then turned and engaged the approaching Bunjin in battle again.
